1990 Mercury Cougar Questions & Answers
My 1990 mercury cougar wont start
To start the car, the brake pedal must be depressed to activate the brake pedal switch. In my experience, adjusting the switch has not worked. If this switch is the problem, replacing the switch is the fix.
How to change ignition
insert key and push a paper clip in the small hole in the little hole next to the key turn key slightly and remove works for me
Radio Installation
You can buy a kit with an adapter plug...easiest way to install a new deck.
Watch out when you insert the new deck into the original hole...wires pinch, short out dash, or lighting issues will occur if you are not careful
1990 cougar ls will crank but will not start
Since you are near a computer, you can look up photos of the inertia switch and fuel pump relay. On the photos online I see carpeting which is probably from the trunk as your interior would have color. There is a red reset button built into the Inertia switch. It is not broke, but is working to prevent a big fire. Since you were not in an accident, it activated with any bump. It takes a certain frequency which can be from a doorslam or trunklid closing with excess force.
All that needs to be done is to push the reset button to restore power to the fuel pump.
P0301 code from honda hybrid v6
#1 cylinder is misfiring ,or the ecu/pcm has detected the symptons, is the engine running poor ? check the plug , lead , coil pack for condition etc if the engine is running ok then just clear the codes and see if the code reappears in which case it could well be the ecu/pcm which will need further diagnosis
2005 honda accord v6 ignition coil location
Your honda dealership parts department can provide you with a print out of the location. There should be no charge. Ask them how much the ignition coil cost. They will be happy to provide you with a print out location of the coil, thinking that perhaps you might buy the coil from them later. And who knows... you might.
Car pulls to the left when i push on the breaks
This is usually a problem on the opposite side. The brake caliper is not moving when the brakes are applied or the brake pads are gone. Or the left side brake assembly is metal to metal.
You need to have someone put this car on a lift and check out the rotors and brake pads.
