The engine oil smells like gasoline. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
If the oil smells like the fuel then does you engine knock or lost compression? fuel can leak past the piston if the rings are bad and the vehicle doesn't start easily.Modern synthetic oils can smell different so borrow another nose for a second opinion. Also test the oil... put a single drop in a metal pan and throw a match at it. Oil wont ignite straight away and will burn slow only once it has reached ignition temperature, any fuel in the oil will cause an explosive flash almost immediately
Goodmorning! On the way into work today the Brake light and Battery Symbol came on and then the blower on the heater stopped working shortly after and ideas?
Sounds like you have a charging problem. Guessing if you go out to your vehicle now your battery will be dead. I hope not for your sake but if things started shutting down and the battery light was on this would be the case. The battery light doesn't really mean a bad battery. In most cases it indicates a charging problem like the alternator. There is a main fuse in the fuse box under the hhod of the vehicle that could have blown. See picture below of the fuse I am talking about. Now I hope it is just a fuse but there may be a reason it blew if it did. Not trying to be negative but with the amount of miles on your vehicle, anything is possible due to age as well. I hope this helps and good luck.
