Sounds like your alternator is doing nothing-the car is running only off the battery. Have your charging system checked-does your battery light stay lit? If that bulb is burnt out, that may be why the charging system is not working. On some charging systems, that bulb is crucial for the alternator to work. Engine off, a fully charged battery should measure 12.5 volts with a voltmeter. Engine idling, and the voltmeter at the same battery should be showing about 13.5 volts. This tells you the charging system is working.

The first thing you must do is have the engine control computer scanned for fault codes, once you have the fault code or codes you can do the diagnostics to find and resolve the problem.

have you checked the transmission fluid level? if thats good, then its slipping. it may be beyond repair or you may be lucky and only need it adjusted. either way. DO NOT and i mean DO NOT EVER add any of the transmission additives to your cars transmission fluid. i did that to a car i have and the stuff ruined the seals in the trans, and had to pay 1700 to have it rebuilt. i asked them about that stuff and they said it ruins the rubber seals inside. the specific stuff i used was riselone or something with a name like that. also try not to rev it to high to get it into gear, cause if it is something simple, the high revs can cause alot of damage if its not damaged already. or at least try not to drive it to much until you can get it fixed. i hope this helps you

Could be several things, such as leaky fuel injector flooding cylinder after shutdown, or oil fouling plug due to bad valve guide seal of broken piston ring. Install brand new plug, run about 20 miles, let engine get cold overnight, remove plug to red is it wet with gas or oil sooty.

I think I need more information, but I will take a shot at it. Two things come tom mind. 1. Fuel pump. When they start to go bad they become finicky, can be position sensitive. Fuel pumps are temperature sensitive. The fuel in the gas tank cools them. If problems are worse when you have a near empty gas tank, it is likely a fuel pump. 2. Engine management system acting up due to extreme cold. I lived in Fairbanks for many years, wifes mini van had issues like this when it would get really cold. I fixed it by replacing ECU.
