2004 Silverado Heater/AC Blower on WITHOUT the Ignition Switch ON. Is there a Relay in this circuit? If so, where is it located? None of the under hood relays are identified as controlling the Heater/AC Blower. Have previously replaced both the Blower Motor and twice the Resistor module. Where can I find a schematic for this circuit? What specific color wire is associated with High Speed only? From reading the other difficulties on this site, I find you state that the Resistor is only used for Lower Fan Speeds. Last time the Resistor failed I had no Blower speeds and a Dead Blower Motor. Vehicle was purchased new and this circuit and components seem to be a group of recurring problems. Is the Fan Speed Switch the culprit? The Blower was definitely OFF last evening when I parked it for the night. When I went out to use the Truck today, the Blower was running as I walked up to the truck.

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate

My Speedometer ranges anywhere from 20 to 120 mph while driving and most of the time Im not going faster than 50 My 2004 silverado has developed the same problem. I can reset it but it doesn't last long.
Hello all,
It's hard to believe that a company we all support (and used to love) would leave us in the dust and turn it back on us. It is so obvious they have a speedo cluster defect and expect us to pay for their incompetence!!!!
And they actually want us, the people they are burning of hard earned dollars, to bail them out!!!
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you dig, you will find unimaginable amounts of people with this same problem on the internet and they know it.
Shame on them, and on us, if we give them another chance to do it to us again. They sit in their offices of gold and wonder why the empire is failing, dah!!! You can only rip people off for so long before it will bite you back.
They expect to have a long term business with short term business pricipals, dah again!!!
If you have a problem as I do, call 1-866-0405 or log on to www.speedometersettlement.com for info regarding your bogus speedo.
Is america producing anything of quality anymore?

speedometer is erratic
the speed sensor is located generally on the tailshaft housing or in other words where the driveshaft slides into transmission has a small black sensor with a couple of wires going to it. those trucks have a bad problem with the cluster going out on them though. more than likely that is going to be your problem. you have to take cluster to dealership (new one) and they have to burn the current mileage into it.

driver side works fine passenger side stuck on heat no matter what the settings it has dual control
try unhooking battery for a few minutes this will cause actuators to do a full sweep and reset. if it is still stuck then will need to replace the actuator for blend door on that side

Hi !
My problem:
The rear blower motor quit running on a 2004 1500 Suburban, so I only have cold air up front.
What I have tried:
Checked the fuses under the hood, and on the side panel...all checked ok.
I removed the rear paneling in the back to get to the motor and several other switches...tested the motor and it ran fine.
I pulled the control panel from above in the front and went to the junkyard and tried two alternate control switches above....neither worked, so I feel my switch is ok. When I move it to aux, the control in the middle turns on and I cannot even get the air to blow turning the fan up on that switch either.
Can someone please help me out on this. I am so lost and don't have extra money to take it to a repair shop right now.
On the wires that run into the blower control that I swapped with 2 others for testing purposes that didn't work, only the brown wire with white stripe made my tester light up, so I only have one hot wire it seems going into that control. The brown wire with the white stripe is the only wire that turns the light on, even with the control hooked up and in various positions.
Thanks a bunch !
You will have a blower motor resistor that controls power and the speeds to the blower motor it will be by the blower motor and is cheap new.

looking for fuel filter on 2004 chevy silverado ss 6.0, not on frame rail
Here is the steps for the removal and replacement...getting you the picture and location next.
6.6L Engine
Exploded view of the fuel filter (2)—6.6L engine
To install:
NOTE
Check the fuel filter/heater element housing and the filter for a dislocated filter seal or foreign debris. Contamination on the filter/heater housing may cause leakage at the fuel filter. Coat the seal with clean engine oil.

I have a 2004 silverado. My cargo light isn't getting any power. My third light works fine and when i reverse the harness the cargo lights work. I'm assuming its in the wiring. Do the two wires going to the cargo have their own fuse. All the fuse box under the dash looks good. Please Help
There should be 12 volts on the orange wire at the bulbs. The switch controls the ground side of the circuit. There should be 12 volts on the blue w/white wire at the switch. The switch will ground that wire and complete the circuit and the cargo lights will turn on.
to check the switch you would unplug it and check for continuity between the pins that the blue w/wire wire and black wire go to.

AC blowing hot air from driver's vents, cool air from passenger's. have turned oof & turned truck on & off, still the same. 2004 Chevy Silverado Diesel Pick Up
If it has dual zone temp. control it is most likely the heater control panel.
