There is a short to power well you found one of the problems and that was the area that is wet, so let that dry, and if you have electrical cleaner (spay can type) just follw the direction on the container, and yes you will need to have the switch replaced those 2 component you found is the source of the problem
My blower motor resistor burned up I'n my 05
Are you putting the right amp fuse in place of that fuse was at ? If you have a fuse that is 5 amps smaller could produce this same problem so go make sure your manual says what amp fuse goes there first. This might solve the issue. Usually if the fuse keeps breaking inside of it means that there might be a short some where else.

check the wires with a multimeter to see if there might be a short. put the multimeter where the fuse is at to see why the fuse is being dead. but make sure you know what you are doing first with multimeter or have someone else that knows how to use the multimeter.
I have a 2005 gmc Denali and my blower resistor
Hi, often the switch will fail first and then cause the resistor to fail. The way this happens is the switch may engage multiple speeds and thus cause excessive current through the resistors. You can check the switch at the resistor pigtail using an voltmeter or 12 volt test light. Each terminal in the connector should have power with one and only one setting of the switch. If more than one terminal has power for any switch setting, replace the switch. Please let me know if you need instructions or have any more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
Coolant leak 05 denali
I will assume as usual that it has the 5.7L engine. The common cause for a coolant leak in these truck are the intake manifold. It either leaks externally or internally or both this is a common problem with this engine. You have to replace the intake gaskets. This a fairly big job. First check your engine oil if the level has risen and if the oil smells like anti freeze or looks like a milkshake kinda foamy then the chances are good that your intake is leaking. If all else fails you will have to do a coolant pressure test and you will seee the leak probably. It could also be your cylinder head gaskets but the most likely cause is the intake gasket. $100.00 for the gasket kit and about 5-6 labour. Change your oil & filter before you start it after you replace the gaskets. Then if your leak goes away change your oil & filter again about a week later to ensure you get all the coolant out of the engine oil this is very harmfull to the bearings in the engine.
My 05 denali. The driver side head light will not
this is a part of the headlamp assembly so it is not a part you can replace separately
my advice is to take a heat gun and heat the nylon adjusting nut till it starts to shrink in size
when it cools down it will thread again to adjust. removing the headlamp assembly is required to perform this task
My denali will only click when i try to start it.
most likely you have a low battery, try to jump start the truck, you may have to leave the jumper cables hooked up for a wile before trying to start the engine, if after the battery is charged the truck still just clicks, try cleaning the battery terminals, if still no luck you will need to remove the starter and have it tested and repaid.
I recently took my truck
That sounds about right "IF" they actually need replacing. Most times it's just a matter of resetting SRS lights. I would find another competent shop and ask them to reset your SRS lights and see if it stays OFF. If your vehicle was in an accident, I would agree with above diagnosis but if it wasn't just have another shop try resetting lights for you.
