I have a 2000 Buick Century Custom and the horn went off one night by itself. I'm guessing it's the horn pad in the airbag that needs to be replaced? There is no alarm on my car

No Vince The most likely is that someone tried to break into it and it is the alarm. Horn pads don't self activate. I guess it might be a faulty relay? https://www.google.com/search?q=2000+Buick+Century+Custom+horn+went+off+on+its+own ..

I changed my transmission and now my alternator isn't charging now...i didnt remove it but I did the starter and ground wire's...thought out was put together right but something is wrong drains my battery fast and not charging it on a buick century 2000 3.1

The main Battery positive feed to the back of the alternator comes from the starter solenoid , has a fusible link . Did you hook it up correctly ? With a voltmeter check for battery voltage at the heavier gage wire at the back of the alternator .

Computer reset on 2000 buick

Test the coil pack for cyl #3 first. A bad coil will cause the computer to give that code. To reset the computer remove both battery cables and touch them together for a minute or two, then reinstall them and then go drive the car for more than 20 minutes in traffic, stop and go so the computer will relearn inputs from all the engine sensors.

Is it leaking oil or antifreeze? If it's oil at this location ,it is most likely the seal on the sealed (not used) distributor hole plug.(an easy fix). If it's antifreeze it will most likely be the gasket between the head and intake.A little work but not bad.You will have to pull the valve covers and the intake but the heads stay on.

Have a 2000 buick century was running great parked it for the night went to start it the next morning it would not start, put in new fuel pump, fuel relay switch, n fuel filter. still will not start.

Depress the gas pedal halfway while cranking. If it starts, that's the symptom of a bad engine coolant temp sensor. Makes computer think engine is warmer than it is and PCM gives too rich or lean a mixture making it not fire up

2000 buick century problems

DTC P0131 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Sensor 1 The PCM supplies a bias voltage of about 450 mV between the HO2S signal and low circuits. When measured with a 10 megaohm DMM, this may display as low as 350 mV. The oxygen sensor varies the voltage within a range of about 1000 mV when the exhaust is rich, down through about 100 mV when exhaust is lean. The PCM constantly monitors the HO2S signal during closed loop operation and compensates for a rich or lean condition by decreasing or increasing injector pulse width as necessary. If the HO2S 1 voltage remains excessively low for an extended period of time, DTC P0131 will be set. Do you have a advanced scan tool to check O2 sensor data ? This video is on a honda but your's works the same Honda Civic P0131 02 Sensor Diagnosis

Make sure that you use thee correct tools when removing the hose. Important to keep in mind that these lines seize up so you may need to heat the fittings. When installing new line, good idea to use a little anti-seize and then top off transmission fluid with vehicle running and it has reached operating temperature.
