Removing starter from bmw 735i
You need to get aboard a Snap-On truck & buy lotsof serious tools --so you can have what you need whenworking on any vehicle
I have a 1986 bmw 735i, that wont turn over and
Does does she start with jump leads from another car? If so, with the engine off, check the battery voltage (less than 12.2 volts e.g. 10.1volts = dead cell: 12.2 volts = flat battery; 12.5volts charged battery). Check for performance - put all main lights on, should be no change after 5 minutes if healthy. With the engine running the voltage across the terminal should be about 14 volts. Whilst still running switch on all the lights and the voltage should climb to 14.5 volts. These last two tests show that a) the alternator is working and b) it is responding correctly to power drain.
If the car fails to start; check main fuse and starter relay; check all battery leads for tightness of fit; check the engine block to chassis earth cable; check the starter motor terminal for absence of corrosion. Remove starter motor/starter solenoid combination and examine the state of the electrical contact striker plates. If worn badly these will need to be replaced. wipe and brush things clean but do not lubricate anything, the oil only serves to attract dirt that clogs everything up eventually
Rhythmic vibration in 1986 bmw 735i
If I remember correctly, does your drive shaft have a locking coller
nut between the 2 sections. If there is a locking collar nut, make sure to not overtightend it. When the driveshaft changes loads, the 2 piece driveshaft should have the ability to slide, and that is why the collar nut should not be over tightend. One other thing to look for is when bolting the transmission bracket to the frame, make sure that it is equal on both sides, otherwise the transmission can sit crooked. It's been a while since I have worked on a pre-90's 7. Hopefully you won't need that driveshaft.
What is a IHKA module and a IDrive screen on a 7 series 745li bmw 2004 and how to fix it
The iHKA is the air conditioning control unit. The panel where you turn on and off the air conditioning and adjust the temperature. The I-drive screen is actually called a CID and it is a control display for all the functions such as navigation, radio, settings, climate control, services due, etc... There really is not a way to fix them without replacement. The control units are programmed to the vehicle and are usually VIN specific and cannot be used from car to car without causing other issues. I have used them temporarily to test a module but never left in or tried coding mine to another model. That makes it hard because you must replace it and that is expensive !!! You can try a used one from a junk yard but most likely will cause new issues
2006 ford fusion solenoid 2 mechanical failure the
solenoids can be replaced with out affecting the transmission
however the burnt oil indicates that the transmission may need a band/ clutch pack adjustment
shifting problems are servo/ solenoids , TR sensor , VSS sensor or the TCM
