I believe the issue is just a micro switch under the lever that’s easily replaceable. It’s either a NO or NC switch. If it's NC when the lever is down then you could short the connection. If it's NO then just removing the wires should do the trick. Both way you can pull the switch (needs removal of the console or very small hands) and get it working just to put the top up. You can test the function of the micro switch (in the middle of the top of the window) this way:
· Roll down your windows.
· Then press & hold the micro switch with your finger.
· The windows should IMMEDIATELY come up.
· This is how it would work if the micro switch is OK.
· If this does not happen (the windows stay down), then you have a problem with the micro switch

Also all this will test if the micro switch is stuck in "permanently engaged".

1) test the fuse or c.breaker and replace or reset2) if the element in step 1 is o.k test the relais for ac compressor see the diagram atttached.God bless you

It would be possible but You will need to literally tear the entire car apart to do it; parts, even out of the junk yard, will cost way more than the car is worth. And the Vin # would show manual trany try to explain that to insurance company, dealer, buyer. Probably not a good idea.

Check for chewed wires and replace/rewire as required.

I haven't come across the problem before but I am increasingly hearing of modern cars thinking for themselves (as they are designed to do), the trouble is they sometimes become disoriented and feeling they must try and behave normally they put 2 and 2 together and make five. Usually it is a case of automatic windows that are closed before they expect to be closed and think they have encountered an obstruction and so go into reverse. I think it needs dealer diagnostic equipment to reset these things...

Of the 2 I'd rather own the Taycan. When you look at the specs the Taycan is the faster one not only in a straight line but on the track. The Model S has a higher range but I'd bite the bullet for the Taycan.
