Ix35. Why is there a knocking sound coming from the timing belt enclosure?
Check your oil level using the dipstick and make sure you have not overfilled the engine. If the oil level is where it should be, then filling it with oil had nothing to do with the noise.
If it is overfull, the oil has become aerated (whipped) and is causing a loss of lubrication. Drain any overfull oil and make sure the level is correct, then restart. If the noise persist, further inspection will be necessary to find out what's loose.
Battery keeps going dead
There is a charging design defect on Hyundai vehicles. Replace the alternator immediately as this defect may occur below 30,000 km of travel. Avoid using the USB charger while aircon, head lights, and radio are ON because the alternator ampere rating will get overloaded, and power will be drawn from the battery.
