2007 Dodge Nitro driver interior
The dealership wanted too much to replace it so I bought Mighty Putty and fixed it myself, it has been fine for 5 months now. I just read that the dealership is one of the ones they are closing. Good they charge too much, they hit me up for $800 on my 35000 service
Dodge nitro leaking coolant slowly. Wil it last much longer
A lot depends on where the leak originated. If it's the water pump, it will only get worse, circulation will be impaired, engine can easily overheat...won't ;last long.
If it's an external leak, and you don't let the coolant get too low, it can go a l;ong time, with daily or regular topping up of the radiator.
If it's a blown head gasket and leaking internally, its days are definitely numbered. If its a head gasket and leaking externally, a little safer, but iffy: the head gasket may keep eroding and the leak get bigger. Overheating of the engine may occur.
Transmission fluid flush
Its a matter of opinion. Most experts will tell you to change the fluid and filter at 50k and again at 100k etc.If you have not yet serviced it, then yes you should now. Once you pass 100k you run the risk of making the trans not function if you change the fluid-filter. It has to do with particles in the fluid and the condition of the fluid. New fluid at say 150k can be a problem for the clutches.
