With the info you have provided, it seems to point to the ignition switch as the problem. (the clicking you should hear comes from the solenoid contacts - not the starter button). There is probably one wire in the switch that has broken or come unsoldered or other wise not making the right connection.
That would be your starter take a screw driver and place it on positive and negative on Starter Relay and if it turns over, check fuses then relay. If it doesn't turn over its your starter.

Use a test light at the contactor to see if the switch and wiring are good.If you see an input from the switch up to the contactor,make sure the connections are all clean on the control input terminals at the contactor.(The contactor is the device that changes the polarity of 12V to the winch to extend or retract-essentially a double throw double pole relay).
