Skullcandy Pipe speaker remote doesn't
Remotes are generally not repairable due to the way they are made (using tiny parts, double-sided boards, and a few are glue-sealed in some cases) - but if you don't want warranty repair - INSIST on a replacement - in case the one you have is defective. Best way to test this theory is with a second set of batteries and see if it kills those as quickly. While not completely uncommon, I find it difficult to credit that a brand new remote would drain fresh batteries or fail so rapidly on the very first day of use.
My scullcandy earphones have been working really
You have a wire broken on the affected (dead) side. Locate the break in the insulation, cut that wire, strip the insulation back on both ends, twist the bare wires together, soldier preferably....if you don't have a soldering gun, just use electrical tape. Wrap the splice well with electrical tape so that it does not short out.
There was this long power cut in my place n I
Skull Candy do have a policy in some countries I believe of a lifetime warranty. I don't know if that applies in your case or if they will cover it. But it is worth checking out with them first.
My headphones are broken
the fact that the company is willing to replace the ones you damaged ( they really do not have to do that) should indicate to you that the units are not repairable
take the new ones offered and be grateful that the company is so obliging when they do not have to be

How do I pair my smokin buds to a new device?
When you turn on your earbuds with the on switch you do so by holding the power switch down for a few seconds (4 ascending tones are heard) KEEP HOLDING THAT BABY DOWN for a few more seconds and you will hear a single tone, it's now on the look out for a NEW device and should be discoverable.

Hi try this out....Turning on, then turning off "Hearing Aid Mode" fixed the problem. The audio switches automatically between headphones and speaker normally now.
Hearing aid mode is under "System Settings" -> "Accessibility" -> "Hearing Aid Settings
Ear cup detaching from the base
If you haven't had them for less than 24 months they could be still under warranty. You should contact Skull Candy for more information. If you are a USA customer I did read that they will still repair them after the 24 months. I can't say if this still applies.
You can also visit my Blog site which includes information on what to do with broken headphones and wire issues in case you can't them to repair it.
