Toner ink

The printer needs to think it has all 4 toners present, and NOT at the end of their life.

There are two methods of achieving your goal of using this as a mon printer only.

1 - a zero cost option which works on a CLP-510, and may work on CLP-500.

Hold the MENU button down whe you switch the printer on. The printer will then start up in 'UNCHECKED CONSUMABLE' mode. You will have to remember to do this each time you turn the printer on.

2 Just replace the reset fuse modules on the Yelllow, Magenta and Cyan cartridges. Much cheaper than replacing the cartridge.

In both these cases, of course there's no more toner in them. but provided you ONLY print mono this shouldn't be a problem, and there's probably an option in the printer driver to set it for mono anyway (but the printer still needs to 'think' it has usable colurs cartridges in it).

Samsung CLP-300 'dev. home error'

Dev. Home error can be fixed by stretching out a solenoid spring on the power cord side of the printer. The solenoid acts as a clutch to stop the spinning developer actuator at the right spot.

The problem is that the spring gets weak over time / the cogs round out over time and the solenoid finger is overcome by the spinning cogs, and resulting in selecting the wrong developer.

Open up the right side (power cord side) of the printer (take off top cover, then take off side cover). Then, find a solenoid (little metal square) that touches the white plastic vertical spur gear. Take the spring off the solenoid. Now, put the spring back on - only this time you will attach one anchor point to the middle of the spring as to pre-stretch the spring for more tension.

Transfer belt error, lever unlocking

Hello,

There is sensor inside the transfer belt, on the bottom side of the transfer belt (pink side). You have to screw off 2 screws from the plastic cover from the pink side of the transfer belt. When you screw off plastic cover, you will see three wires which is going to sensor. There is 1 screw which hold sensor; you have to screw off that and gently pull out sensor. Sensor looks like letter U, and on the inner side of the sensor there is two small holes on the opposite sides. You have to clean that holes (blowing or with small brush). Clean it well. After that, reassemble transfer belt, put it back, and turn on printer, that solve and fix the problem.

Take care.

Replace/Install toner waste bin error

The toner box is probably full. The toner box is a clear box on the left side when you open the front cover. The box has the labels Y, M, C, and K on it. Pull it out using the tab at the bottom. find a place to empty it. You can do this by turning it upside down and gently tapping it. If the box is full some toner may be outside of the box causing the sensor to be blocked even after it is empty. You may want to clean the box, toner cartriges and inside the cavity with qtip, tissue paper (without lotion), or air.

Paper feeding halfway through then stops

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Samsung clp 315 red light

The red light error can be caused by the following:

1. Paper is empty on the tray.
2. Access door panel is still opened.
3. Paper jam
4. Toner is empty
5. Broken parts inside the printer.

Try to check those things.

My Samsung CLP-300 won't pick up paper (it goes 1 inch & stops)

No oil on rubber rollers! You must gently clean the rubber roller with isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth. Let it dry and it should work again. Make sure to get ALL of the oil off of the paper paths surfaces.

Samsung CLP-300 paper feed

Clean the feed roller.
Remove the paper tray, from the bottom there is a grey rubber semi wheel in the middle front of where the paper tray would be. Use a cloth with WD-40, brake cleaner, or lighter fluid to lightly wipe the rubber clean. Put the paper tray back in and it should print.

Samsung CLP-300 Paper Feed Problem

I had same problem and it got resolved by lifting the front portion of the paper tray up. I put a spare USB drive under the paper tray for sufficient push upwards. It seems to be working fine now for me.

Faded printing

Clean the toner roller bladesYou Tube Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipw1RjwzUDgShows you the problem & how to fix it. There's a metal blade on the edge of each toner roller which can get clogged with small bits of toner & prevent even distribution. Clean the blade with a lolly stick & put it back together.I tried this with CLP 320 cartridge - same principle but can be messy because the cartridge is full of toner powder.

Error Message--Waste Toner Tank Full/Not Install

What I have started to do is to actually wash the toner tank out with water and make sure it is good and dry then be sure the section that breaks the light sensor is good and clean (it is on the left side as you look at the backside - the side that goes toward the printer - and protrudes out) the tank full indication comes on when the tank gets dirty

"Waste toner tank full"message won't clear

I had the same problem with my printer. On the back of the waste toner cartridge is a tab that sticks out. A photoelectric shine thru this tab to let you know when the cartridge is full. My photoelectric had gone out and was giving the same error message. I took my printer apart and cut the wires loose on each side of the photoelectric and shorted them together to complete the circuit. The only problem in doing this is you have to occasionally check the waste toner cartridge yourself to make sure it does not overfill.

Waste toner tank full/not install keep displaying

The sensor for the waste toner tank is dirty or defective. The toner sensor is on the right as you look at the panel just below the liquid crystal display. There is a bump in the clear plastic just below the circular right vent port, that's where the used toner pours in. When you clean out the toner cartridge there is some residue left that makes the sensor think it's still full. Take a piece of paper towel and a small screwdriver (I'm told a bent coat hanger will work, too) and clean the inside of the sensor window inside the used toner cartridge (w/ access through the toner port). It looks like a little raised groove on the right. Just wipe it until it's clear on the inside. The sensor can now see through the window and you should be okay. Otherwise, the sensor may need to be replaced by an authorized Samsung technician. Let me know how it works out!
