This answer came from Andrew here......... Long story short, you will have to reset the waste ink counter. Resetting the waste ink counter:

1. Unplug all power and USB cables
2. Open the cartridge door
3. Hold the power button, and keep holding it while plugging the printer power cable back in
4. Release the power button once all lights are on.
5. When the green power light turns off, press the power button quickly two times
6. The green light will start blinking. Wait for it to stabilize.
7. Close the cartridge door and print a test document.
