try plugging your flash drive into a usb port then going into my computer and opening the appropriate drive letter for the flash drive.

You can also put a shortcut to the flash drive on your desktop and simply open it to see what is actually on your flash drive.

You can also use windows explorer and open up your flash drive icon and see a listing of what is on it.

Your problem may be that the flash drive has its own installation program and it has possibly been wiped or cleared accidently.

Remove the device from your computer and check the side of the stick for a small switch that has a picture of a lock around it somewhere. If there is then push it to the other position and that should unlock it for you

if you already tried different computers, and checked if the USB port is a known good port, then it might be your USB flash drive thats having problems. Check if your flash drive has lifetime warranty thru PQi's website...you might be able to get that 1 replaced..

Take it to a different computer and format it there. It just happens sometimes without any explanation.

try this one right click on my computer then menage and then click disk menagement format ur drive.

i think you can defrag a usb drive, if it shows on your 'my computer' list of removable drives- you might try this- you can also run an anti-virus check on it, if you have an anti-virus prog. if that don't work, and the data is stored on your hd, then try re-formatting it.
if that don't work, toss it, and get a new usb flash drive!

If the connector is gone then your probably out of luck.

Toggle the switch on the drive itselft if that does not work you may need to follow the directions on the link below.

well go to my computer an you will see your falsh drive!

or its a problem with you flash drive try reformat it using hp disk formatter tool ..

then select your flash drive and format it...

if you don't know how format it using windows formatter tool... by right clicking on it and select format!

Insert the device and restart the computer. Does it shows a "removable disk" icon in My computer? If it does, go to the properties and click unblock, may it's block. If that doesn't work, then just reformat.

go controll panel....adminstrative tools....disk managment...right click fromat..done.

Does the camera read it? If so try copying to the internal mem on the camera if it has that, or use the pc cord that came with your camera.

To correct and solve this error, follow this steps:

1. Run Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del or right click on Taskbar)
2. Stop wscript.exe process if available by highlighting the process name and clicking End Process.
3. Then terminate explorer.exe process.
4. In Task Manager, click on File -> New Task (Run…).
5. Type “cmd” (without quotes) into the Open text box and click OK.
6. Type the following command one by one followed by hitting Enter key:

del c:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
del d:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
del e:\autorun.* /f /s /q /a
you plz enter the drive name of your hard drive same as above.

c, d, e each represents drive letters on Windows system. If there are more drives or partitions available, continue to command by altering to other drive letter. Note that you must also clean the autorun files from USB flash drive or portable hard disk as the external drive may also be infected.
7. In Task Manager, click on File -> New Task (Run…).
8. Type “regedit” (without quotes) into the Open text box and click OK.
9. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
10. Check if the value name and value data for the key is correct (the value data of userint.exe include the path which may be different than C drive, which is also valid, note also the comma which is also needed):

“Userinit”=”C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,”

If the value is incorrent, modify it to the valid value data.

test with "H2testW" , if the program works and tells you you have errors, run "PD V1.08 B3"

if when selecting usb drive and it states to insert disc... it's stuffed.

Hi. How do you open a flash drive anyway? Cause me... I'll just right click the drive then click the "Explore" menu and thats the way to avoid virus menu like the Autoplay(once you double-click the drive, it wont open 'cause it has an extra Autoplay menu}. By the way, does your PC virus-free?Try to check the drive by right-clicking the drive. If you see two Autoplay menus and the other Autoplay is highlighted or the font is thick, your PC surely has a virus. You must remove it first.
Or try to go to do this:
Contol Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management and look for the drive. Right-click it and click the Open or Explore menu.

Just connect an MP3 cable fron your player to to your computer, and go to MY COMPUTER and click on the drive that represent the MP3 player, you can delete the music files from your player.
