The manual is dreadfully vague Note: The Console (4) can be operated with an optional power supply instead of batteries. To purchase a power supply, call the toll-free telephone number on the front cover of this manual. Plug one end of the power supply into the jack at the front of the exercise cycle. Plug the other end of the power supply into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Look on both sides of the console and also at the front of the bike itself. I have to say though, if the console didn't work with batteries, it is unlikely to work with a power supply. It is broken and that is why it didn't work with batteries. What you could do is follow the wiring harness as shown in the parts manual from the console down and where it branches off to.. Sounds to me like the motor has a shorted field coil or open or shorted armature. The motor is bad, you can order a new one at the companies website.

ZERO-SETTING OF THE SECONDS-HAND & SUB-SECOND HAND ON THE SECTOR ADV1000 CHRONOGRAPH. NOTE: The pusher buttons A, B & C are positioned on the watch at the 2 o'clock (A), 10 o'clock (B) & 8 o'clock positions (C), while the crown is at the 4 o'clock position. 1) Set the crown at the normal (in) position. 2) Push the B button twice. 3) Pull out the crown to the 2nd position (fully out). a.) Seconds-hand setting: a push of button A moves the 2nd hand by 1 second. Move it until it is at the zero position. b.) 2/100ths second hand: a push of button B moves the 2/100ths second hand by one 2/100ths second. A continuous push moves it quickly. Move it until it is at the zero position. 4) Push the crown back in to normal position. QUICK-SET OF THE CALENDAR DATE With the alarm switch off, pull out the crown halfway to the first "out" position (not fully out). Turn the crown clockwise to quick-set the date.

Contact a local jeweler and see if they do restringing. Most will charge approx $10 per inch.

No manual, just this. You can however just search by the number of buttons, 2 , 4 or 4. They are all the same. Google 4 button chronograph watch manual
