Finding rock band managers

In my experience, they usually lurk under rocks with a large net to scoop up any money earned by the band.

While my setting is on A (aperture) on my Mode Dial, its my shutter speed, and sometimes my exposure compensation, that is changing when I move my main command dial

It may be possible to swap the functions of the primary control dial and secondary control dial - check in the manual or the menu system.

Can i make video through the viewfinder? and not the monitor.

You cannot do that with this model camera. A digital SLR must have the mirror up (Liveview Mode) to expose the sensor to capture video. The mirror is what directs what you see through the lens through the viewfinder.

Nikon l610 wont turn on

If your batteries are okay (try charging them overnight) it sounds like you'll have to send the camera in for service. Call Nikon Coolpix support at 1-800-645-6687 Here is a link to the Nikon support page which has lots of good info: https://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/238/~/nikon-support-contact-information

Froze fix

Use the factory reset procedure, or take the batteries out for a few minutes. This will reset the camera and it should be okay.

I just put in a brand new memory card but the camera won't read it and says it is out of memory.

Hi A quick look at the manual, which found here: http://cdn-10.nikon-cdn.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/L610RM_EN.pdf confirmed my suspicions that your memory card, being brand new, needs to be formatted by the camera. If you download the manual, then the instructions are on page 16. The manual is in pdf format so can be saved for future reference. Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya Cheers

I use to just plug in my nikon coolpix L610 to my computer ,now it wont work.Whats going on?

hi, did you try to plug it into another port than the defective one? sometimes windows loose the control of one port and by changing it recognizes again on new port.... you may also have hardware drivers problems, take a look at the hardware properties to see if there is not a small yellow triangle on some hardware, it can be the source of the problem, search for updated drivers and restart. or go to nikon's site, search for last driver for your model, and install it, this must solve the problem... cheers, mich

Camera won't turn off

The camera isn't supposed to do anything. You control the download from the computer, the camera is nothing more than a mass storage device like a disc drive. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa or Nikon Transfer. Organize edit and share your photos Current versions of Nikon software Nikon Knowledgebase

Same problem, I hope anyone can give a clear hint on this. But my project is urgent, I have no time to wait, just find a third party solution.
