My lavazza espresso point capsule

The only possibilities I see here are either the Plug Holder with Fuse Block which sometimes goes bad and periodically will shut down the unit. The other possibility is that the Electronic Card has gone bad. It over-heats and shuts down power.

Machine power went off...

There could be many possibilities here. To start with a few:
  1. Plug Holder with Fuse Block may be bad
  2. Fuses need to be replaced
  3. Faulty receptacle in the home
  4. One of the thermofuse wires have tripped
  5. There is a bare wire touching the frame of the machine
The first two are the most common. Please keep in mind that none of these should be addressed less #2 unless you are a licensed technician.

After I push the small

This issue is typically caused by the Flow Meter near the pump. The Flow Meter is what registers the amount of water dispensing through the machine during any selected function. The malfunctioning of it could simply be that the machine needs to be descaled due to heavy scale build-up or just a small piece of dirt from bad water has become lodged inside it. Another possibility is that the Electronic Card which is basically the brain of the machine is defective. Unfortunately if this is the problem the cards are normally rather expensive.

Typically when this has happened I have found the issue being the plug holder and fuse block. Simply have the Plug Holder and Fuse Block replaced and the issue should be resolved.

The water will not come

The machine needs to be sent in for repair. The o-rings within the boiler have failed which is causing water leakage into the drawer and also around live electrical near the boiler when the machine power is on. This is a typical problem being that these are ware parts. I recommend not using the machine until the leaking problem is fixed. If use continues, further damage may occur to the screws making it difficult to extract them when repairing the machine. Over-all this is a very easy repair as long as a certified technician does the work. ALSO, if the machine has never been used before it simply may need primed. The best solution for this is to press the hot water button and let the pump run. It may take 15-25 seconds before there is water flow.

Flashing red lights and no

It is a sign of machine over-heating. It seems like you arefacing this problem because of a defective thermostat. You may also need an electronic board. Good Luck.

Everytime I brew espresso in

Hi,
How are you sure the gasket is exactly the fix to this problem? I would suggest you perform some diagnosis first in order to know precisely the cause of the problem so that a solution can be proffered.
I would like you to read through the below first to get the root of the problem.

Tools and Materials needed to fix this problem are as:

* White Vinegar
* Fresh Water
* Volt-ohm Meter
* Screwdriver

Step 1 - Clean

If your coffee maker seems to be clogged, try cleaning it with a mixture of white vinegar and water. Assuming that your coffee maker has a 12 cup capacity you will want to use 11 cups of vinegar and 1 cup of water. Fill the coffee pot to the 11 cup mark with vinegar and then fill it to the 12 cup mark with water.

Pour this mixture into the reservoir and turn on the coffee maker, allowing it to run through a brewing cycle as if you were making a pot of coffee. By doing this you will dissolve any build up in your coffee maker. If the coffee maker is leaking because the pump is clogged, then this might clear the clog and stop the leaking. If it has been a while since you last cleaned your coffee maker, you may need to run the vinegar through more than one cleaning cycle to dissolve all of the buildup.

Step 2 - Pump Valve

Unplug the coffee maker and examine the pump valve. If the pump valve is broken or has a clog, then the water will not be able to rise up and flow through the fill tube. When the coffee maker is turned on, the water needs to go someplace. If it cannot flow through the fill tube, then it may leak onto the countertop. If the pump in your coffee maker is sealed, you will need to replace the whole pump. If the pump is not sealed you should check it to ensure it is not clogged with coffee grounds or mineral deposits.

Step 3 - Brew Switch

Examine the brewing switch to ensure that is working. To get to the brewing switch, remove the base plate. Next, you will need to test the switch with your volt-ohm meter. Touch the tester to the RX1 scale. If it reads 0 ohms then you will know that the switch works fine. If it gives you a number other than 0 then it is time to replace the switch.

Step 4 - Tube Connectors

If the coffee maker is leaking or sputtering then you should take a look at the tube connectors. Many times, a leaky coffee maker is caused by faulty tube connectors. If you find the leak is in an elbow, clean the surfaces before you replace it. If the tube connector leaks, replace both the tube and the elbow so that you can be sure the pieces will both fit together properly.

I hope the above helps....

Good luck.

We press the brew button but the coffe not flow

Hi a;fpmspga780,

Sounds like a blockage...

Could be that at the end of each day a bit of the previous days coffee is stuck within the small pipes inside, and when you ask for a cup of coffee the mixture of thickness of that blockage and new coffee gets mixed and is stuck.

Asking for hot water will pour the water (with more pressure) through the holes. You should actually notice the first cup of hot water isn't as clean as it should be....

My advice: Clean it with cleaning tablets and cleaning program (Explained in the User Manual) and also run the descale program (User Manual again).

Hard to diagnose without actually seeing the machine, but I believe my opinion has merit.

Let me know if it works?

Regards :-)

Just need instructions to descale

Using a proper coffee machine descaler, create the mix in the water container
Go into the service menu by pressing the 'Stop' button when you turn it on. Scroll throuigh the menu until you reach 4. Descale. Press enter, then scroll to 4.3 Do it now. Press enter and toggle to yes, press enter

It will then run through the descaling cycle which may take some time. After its complete, thouroghly clean the tank and pump lots of water through the system before you brew any coffee, Replace the filter also

I have the Lavazza point.

Hi,

I owe this solution to one of our experts, Seldemseen: "there is a O-ring seal between the heater and water feed...U have to remove apprx 8 allen screws on the top of the heater plate, remove the wiring connectors from the heating element and overload sensors and the heater plate romoves from the attached bottom plate. The seal is located on the center nipple and is apprx 1/8" round."

He replaced his seal with one from his local hardware store.

Good luck to you,

I hope this helps. If it did, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

I have an Espresso Point

Hello

It could be that there is an air bubble inside the water line, preventing the pump from dispensing water in the system. This may be caused by not priming the pump before your first use, but may also happen occasionally and if the machine has not been used for a while.

To prime the pump, make sure your machine is warm and ready (all lights are on). Place a large cup or bowl under the steam wand and push the "Hot Water" button (the one with the image of a faucet) to start a stream of hot water through the wand. Be careful, as water will be very hot and spray out at high pressure. Let it run for about 10-15 seconds to get rid of any air inside the circuit, and then press the "Stop" (Red) button. The problem should now be solved.

The screen says "empty dregdrawer".

  1. Remove the drip tray (it just lifts off)
  2. Pull on the bottom section, this is a drawer which contains the spent capsules.
  3. Empty the drawer.
  4. Replace the drawer and the drip tray.

No lights are on, no circuit breaker popped, nw

Open and start doing some continuity checks inside, maybe an internal fuse or thermal trip/fuse.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
