DVD Player or CD Player not Reading Discs? Easy Fix!

You put your DVD into the player or your Computer Optical Drive and it whirrs away, stops, and whirrs again and them after a little while ejects the CD? It is an easy fix! You just need a DVD Cleaning Disc. The DVD had two laser optics, a low power tracking optic, and a high power reading optic. Dust on the lenses refracts and scatters the beam and makes it unable to read the tracks, so the device software normally tries three times and then abandons the task. The cleaning discs are inexpensive to purchase in Walmart or on Amazon worldwide for $7 to $15 depending on brand. https://www.google.com/search?q=DVD+Cleaning+Disc ..

My Kymco mobility scooter is flashing 7 times .i see a answer is the drive lever is not engaged ,what is the drive lever

The drive lever on a Kymco mobility scooter is the lever that engages the motor and allows the scooter to move forward or backward. It is usually located on the handlebars of the scooter and can be controlled by the user. If the drive lever is not engaged properly, the scooter may not function correctly and could result in the flashing 7 times error code. You should consult your user manual or a certified Kymco dealer for more information on how to engage the drive lever correctly.

Mobility Scooter S Drive the diagnostic light flashes 7 times

The diagnostic light on a mobility scooter that flashes 7 times typically indicates a throttle pot error. This means that there may be an issue with the throttle potentiometer, which is a device that measures the position of the throttle lever or control on the scooter. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Check the throttle lever or control to ensure that it is not stuck or obstructed. Make sure that it moves smoothly and easily.
  2. Inspect the wiring and connections between the throttle potentiometer and the scooter's controller. Look for any loose or damaged wires or connectors.
  3. Test the throttle potentiometer using a multimeter to measure the resistance across the potentiometer's terminals. Compare the readings to the manufacturer's specifications to determine if the potentiometer is functioning correctly.
  4. If you are not comfortable performing these steps or do not have the necessary tools or expertise, contact a qualified mobility scooter technician or repair service to diagnose and fix the issue.
It's important to address any issues with your mobility scooter promptly to ensure that it remains safe and reliable to use.

Why is my hopper saying starting up? It's been over 3 hours and saying same thing

If your Hopper is stuck on "Starting up" and it has been more than three hours, it's possible that there is an issue with the receiver that needs to be resolved. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the cables: Make sure that all cables connected to the Hopper are secure and properly connected. If any cables are loose, disconnect them and reconnect them to ensure a secure connection.
  2. Power cycle the Hopper: Try unplugging the Hopper from the power source and waiting for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This will perform a power cycle, which may help to resolve the issue.
  3. Check the signal strength: If the Hopper is having trouble connecting to the satellite, it may be because of a weak signal. Check the signal strength by going to the "Settings" menu and selecting "Signal Strength." If the signal strength is weak, adjust the satellite dish to improve the signal.
  4. Contact technical support: If none of these steps work, you may need to contact your service provider's technical support team for further assistance. They may need to perform some diagnostic tests or send a technician to check the Hopper.
Regarding the code you saw this morning, it's possible that the hard drive on the Hopper is full and can no longer record or pause live TV. If this is the case, you will need to delete some recordings to free up space on the hard drive. You can also try connecting an external hard drive to the Hopper to expand its storage capacity.

Getting error when trying to record cd to flash drive on boom box

There could be a few reasons why you're getting an error when trying to record a CD to a flash drive on your boom box. Some possible causes include:
  • The flash drive may not be formatted correctly or may be full. Make sure the flash drive is formatted as FAT32 and that there is enough free space on the drive to record the CD.
  • The flash drive may not be compatible with the boom box. Some devices may only be compatible with certain types of flash drives or may have limitations on the size of the flash drive.
  • The boom box may be malfunctioning. If none of the above solutions work, it may be a hardware issue and you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
Additionally, you can try the following:
  • Check the connections between the boom box, CD player, and flash drive. Make sure they are all securely plugged in.
  • Try using a different flash drive, to rule out the possibility of a malfunctioning flash drive.
  • Make sure that the CD is not damaged, dirty or scratched before recording.
  • Check the manual of the boom box and check if it has a specific way to record from the CD to the flash drive.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it may be best to contact the manufacturer of the boom box for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or may need to repair or replace the device.

My jazzy select power chair thinks it is charging when unplugged

There are a few potential issues that could cause your power chair to behave in the way you described. One possibility is that the chair's battery is not properly connecting to the power source when you unplug it. This could be due to a loose connection or a problem with the battery itself. Another possibility is that the chair's charging system is malfunctioning, which could be causing the lights to blink as if it were charging even when it is not. It's also possible that there is an issue with the chair's control system or its motors which could be preventing it from driving.

Rippling lights on Drive Seren, then chair stops.

The rippling lights on your Drive Seren mobility chair, followed by the chair stopping and the power sign coming on, could be indicating a problem with the battery or the motor. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the battery connections: Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight. Loose or corroded connections can cause power issues.
  2. Test the battery: Use a multimeter to test the battery voltage. If the voltage is low, try charging the battery. If the battery won't hold a charge or is more than two years old, it may need to be replaced.
  3. Check the motor: Check the motor connections for looseness or corrosion. Test the motor by turning the chair on and listening for any unusual noises or vibrations. If the motor is malfunctioning, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Check the joystick: Make sure the joystick is clean and free from obstructions. Test the joystick by moving it in all directions to see if it responds properly. If the joystick is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact a mobility equipment repair technician for further assistance.

I have a mini Rider light mobility scooter my diagnostic light will flash twice then flash three times and my scooter won't move what's wrong with it

hi Robert , can you confirm the following , is this your scooter ? http://evrider.com/product/minirider-lite/ now , because it showing two types of flash code, sounds like a Curtis 1212 controller now the flash code means 2,3 MAIN FAULT main contactor fault 1. Main contactor welded or stuck open. 2. Main contactor driver fault sound serious, well it can be a controller fault ,, it simply means the circuit that drives the relay has become faulty . I can repair them cheaply...if UK based .. did you mean ? 3,2 BRAKE ON FAULT brake On fault 1. Electromagnetic brake driver shorted. 2. Electromagnetic brake coil open. so what does that mean well ? most likely the connection between the read axle and the frame so check them out , making sure they are a good connection, maybe use some contract spray, if the axle is not removed often then I suggest removing the axle and try refitting it may well sort the issue . regards Rob www.gewizrepairs.co.uk

I have a drive spitfire ex 1420 mobility scooter. It doesn't turn off when the key is turned off

Hi, Please double check that there are not particle stuck within the ignition. Then, you can re-insert the key and attempt to start and then stop the scooter until the scooter actually turns off. Checking for damages around the scooter would also help identify any other causes of this issue. Thank you.
