I DON;T KNOW. MOST WATER IS LET IN WHEN NEEDED BY FLOAT VALVE AT BOTTOM OF BOTTLE OR LOWER. PERHAPS IT NEEDS CLEANING. CONSIDER USING STRAIGHT VINEGAR IN LEAKING SIDE THEN GOOD SIDE. IF NOT OK, YOU MAY HAVE TO TAKE UNIT APART TO INSPECT FOR CAUSE.

You need to check to make sure the condenser fan is blowing and that the condenser coil is clean. You absorb heat inside the refrigerator, compress that heat with the compressor, then expel the heat at the condenser (the part of the system that blows hot air). If you can't expel that heat, the unit will lock itself out until you reset it

After replacing the Water Panel, turn the control knob to the “Test/Reset” position until the “Change Water Panel” light blinks to reset the Water Panel change indicator timer.

On the fan will be a model number. Ebay will be your best bet. Enter numbers into search bar.

Perhaps your machine stops when it has reached the desired humidity level you selected. It doesn't have to be empty when it reaches that selected level. My mother thought the same thing but was so relieved to find out it was working properly all the time.

Is the little ultrasonic disk at the bottom of the mist tower clean, or is there hard scale on it? If there are hardened deposits on the disk they will stop it from vibrating. Be careful not to damage it by scraping or digging with a tool. I have found that the best way to clean it is with a Waterpik, turned all the way up. It often takes ten minutes of work to clear it off. This is MESSY, do it in the shower, or outside.

Which model do you have? On the H12 and 696 series models, F indicates refill the humidifier; the reservoir bottle is out of water. The CF means check the filter/wick. Replace the wick if appropriate. The CF message will appear every 720 hours of run time for the humidifier. It will be reset when the unit is unplugged or loses power. Remove the mist direction cap (dark plastic piece where the mist comes out.) You should find a small plastic cup with an attached cap. Put the essential oil in the cup, snap on the cap, and put it back into the mist exhaust, and replace the mist direction cap.

Likely the evaporator froze as a result of low refrigerant pressure. IOW it needs a shot of freon, so to speak. (probably doesn't use freon)

That means it is time to replace the UV bulb.

I it has a top reserve tank like a water cooler bubbler, look for a crach ANYWHERE in the tank. it could be around the filler hole or cap or like mine which is a different brand, I found it UNDER the glued on handle that is meant to lift the tank off from the unit for filling. Good luck.
