Yes thats how it works If you think the flow is too fast turn down the flow , with the valve on the water line .

where is moisture draining off to ---check for pan leak -drain leak or if pump used test it

The solenoid is going bad and might start a leak later if not fixed or likely won't stop the water flow! Get it replaced!

With many Aprilaire thermostats, the flashing 11 indicates that there is a broken wire between the thermostat and the HVAC system. You should turn off the power to the HVAC system. Then take the thermostat off the faceplate. Check for any damaged wires. If there is a break near the thermostat, take the undamaged section of wire and secure it in the correct spot. Then make sure that all of the wires are properly connected to the terminals. You may need to check the wires at the HVAC control board or in your wall. Assume this is an air conditioner. Suggest the unit is frozen up due to a low ambient temperature. If so then switching it off for afew hours will induce a thaw, which will then drain out. Once de-iced the unit can be returned to service, but ambient air temperature should be above say 12 degrees C otherwise the low dew point will again cause the heat exchanger to freeze up. I know of no answer to this except to remove the coating manually to prevent it clogging you filter.

Somewhere in the mess you have described there is a short that is compelling the transformer to put out more current than what it is designed for. It gets hot, really overheats, insulation melts, and the wires melt. Ergo blown transformer.Problem is with whatever that unit is plugged into/powering..

sounds to me that u used a thermostat instead of a humidistat , they aren't the same thing (I think you see the differnence )

find out how to turn power to unit off.turn unit off for a few minutes then turn power to unit back on this should do a internal reset and display should return to normal.

What brand and model do you have for starts. Sounds like a low voltage power issue.

You gotta remember that the 700 also has a fan that blows air through the water filter/grate. The fan could have a warped blade and thus vibrates when rotating. Although there could be nothing wrong with this unit at all as it is not unusual for any solenoid to vibrate when it's engaged. Could could replace it if you'd like. EBay is your best source. But your posture should really be 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
