exit sensor is bad. If you open the rear door, look inside where the paper starts to come out of the printer, you should see a small lever that triggers the PAPER EXIT sensor. It might be hard to see.

exit sensor (on the far right when looking into the rear of the machine) actuator does not return to "at rest" position quickly enough. There is a small spiral tension spring that returns the actuator

no paper evident(ie paper feeds cleanly, stops 1 inch past fuser) verify there are 2 sensor exit flags present and free to move. Occasionally 1 of the flags gets broken off the sensor causing this jam
