Download the driver for Windows Vista and run it in the compatibility mode selecting Windows Vista. You can do this by right clicking on the installation file and under compatibility. The web cam works fine. The only problem i found was that the camera settings are set to auto and cannot be changed. However, it works fine.
Hello,
Please click here to find the driver for your webcam. (VF0100 Creative Vista Pro Webcam).
Find the file named "Creative_Vista_Pro_VF0100_Webcam_driver.zip" in the list and download it.
After extracting the zip file run the ".exe" file to install the driver. This driver is for Microsoft Windows XP/2000/ME/98 operating systems.
Hope this helps.
NOTE: The file which I uploaded will stay there for a limited time (at least for two weeks). That was uploaded only for you to find and download easily.
Webcam Live! is at the 'end of its service life' and unlikely to have vista drivers available You could try downloading here and then run the webcam in compatability mode
If it is an old web cam......It could be very frustrating with vista......try to find the vista drivers from your Creative Web site....follow the steps carefully....Goodluck
I had the same problem with the vf-0050 on a win vista x32 PC. I Downloaded the latest XP driver from creative and installed it. THe camera works fine with MSN messenger and skype. I'll have to wait and see if it works with x64 as well.
Hope this works for you.
