Youtube was blocked in my computer. - YouTube Videos

If you are using a school account, the school probably blocked the site. To be able to use YouTube, create a gmail account and password, and use that to create your YouTube account (same user name and password). Be aware that if you are using the school server or wifi, even with your own account, the site may be blocked by the school. If you do create your own gmail/YouTube account, and it doesn't give you access, ask someone at your school if they are indeed blocking access on their server or wifi.

I am assuming that you are accessing the internet in a public location with a network connection that isn't yours or you are trying to access United States content from a foreign country.

if you use google chrome or firefox, there are proxy addons/extensions that have proxy. just search proxy extension or addon for these browsers and it will probably do what you need, but may be slower than direct access if blocked.

There are multiple causes that can be of use here. Since you do not tell the exact error I cannot know what the cause could be. Although I can explain some of them.

1) There is a chance your country has blocked Youtube (privacy laws). There is nothing you can do then.

2) You have not downloaded the latest flash player that makes you able see the videos.

3) (most likely): Youtube has been blocked on your computer. There is a site that avoids the blocking of sites because it does not show the blocked site where it goes to, but the site you were still on.
-> go to http://www.vtunnel.com/ or to http://wtunnel.org/, scroll down, and enter http://www.youtube.com/ in the bar and press "go". You should now be able to go on youtube.

It has already been blocked in pakistan now.. However if u still want to block it from ur computer.. Go to control panel.. Go in the parental control menu.. There will be an option for controlling the websites which can be opened from your computer.. Write www.youtube.com there and check on the NOT ALLOW button! It will b blocked. =)

at School Youtube is blocked becuase the firewall and internet security that the network has that blockes such sites to prevent misuse of the computer and internet.
School people think that computer is just for education and students should not divert their mind for such entertainment (like youtube).
