Installed new batteries, but need instruction to reset temperature readings

Type "Taylor 1524 manual pdf" in google. That should pull up your manual. Sometimes companies produce the same item, with just subtle changes (product differentiation) i.e. Chevy used the same motor block for the 327,350,400 chevy motors, and just installed different cylinder heads.

My taylor 1525 thermometer does not display or not working

I've just been through this with my Taylor. My first mistake is that I put the batteries in the wrong direction... I corrected that and it only worked for a short time, then quit.. Ultimately, I had to get my multi-meter out. I found that one of my batteries was faulty.. Now, you have to remember that there are two AAA batteries in the main unit... and two of them in the remote that you place outside... Go.. You can fix it...

Taylor 1542 wireless thermometer - how to install remote batteries

Flip up the curved cover latch and then pry open the top of the battery compartment cover with a long fingernail, small screw driver or coin. I agree it could be easier.

Taylor Wireless 1542 remote batteries how to install

Remove the 4 small phillips head screws on the battery cover and it lifts off.
When you replace the cover make sure the gasket (black rubber) is in it's groove.

No display for outside temp. after replacing batteries.

If the unit was workingg prior to the battery replacement, you must remove the battery and check on the terminals to the battery. Make that these are clean, the battery is good - test using a multimeter- and replace with the correct postion.
Now if the earlier battery had leaked it could have damaged the internal board and if so you need to open to check if the board is clogged with the battery leak. If so try and clean the board.
