I have a 13ish year old Kenmore dishwasher and the water won't drain out. I ran the cancel and drain and it ran but didn't drain. Also tried running a full cycle. It didn't add water--the cycle ran but no water ran in though it sounded like a normal wash cycle. It counted down just like always but when finished there was still water in the bottom.

Our dishwasher won't drain completely. I ran it through a regular cycle but it was left with water in the bottom.

Have you tried canceling the cycle? To cancel, turn the on/off switch to on, then press and hold for three seconds the two buttons labeled "Cancel Drain". Keep the door closed for the next minute so that the dishwasher can complete the cycle. During this time the pump will remove any water from the washer. Also you will notice that Bosch dishwashers always leave a little water in the system to keep the seals from drying out and going bad.
Hope this helps

Kenmore Elite 665.15929001 Dishwasher, flashing Sani-Rinse light, won't start

Kenmore is **** with a double PP go buy a Maytag or GE and throw it threw the appliance dept like the Discount tire guy did on TV. I have asked the same question on 4 different blog's and no answer. The question to where they were actually built is unavailable. They only warranty products for 1 year and their disclaimer's add up to when you walk out the door. They are just JUNK! sorry I do not know the answer, first you will pay the repair man then end up buying a new one anyway. Same as me..Peace!

I have a Kenmore dishwasher, not sure of the model or year (less than 10 years old) but water constantly flows into the dishwasher. So much so that it leaked all over the floor because the bottom filled up...

Hello.
If it's filling all the time when dishwasher is not even running? The water inlet valve that the house water supply connects to at the dishwasher,is sticking open and needs to be replaced..what you can do now to stop it from constantlu filling is turn off water supply to the d/w from under the kitchen sink.

Typically the model number is on a label on the egde of the door inside or on the rim of the tub..it would be needed to order a water valve

Hi we have a Kenmore Dishwasher Model # 13744K and it won't turn on. It has water in the bottom that won't drain. Please advise. Thanks. John Webster.

For a dishwasher that was rated pretty high by Consumer Reports, it does not clean very well. In addition, the plastic control button cracked in less than a year and I must constantly clean around the inside of the door ... and I never received my rebate.
Despite those issues, it has been a workhorse. My wife is a daycare provider and the machine is used twice a day (on average) and still runs well. On a monthly basis, I alternate a pint of lemon juice and a pint of vinegar to keep it clean and once per year I use a granulated dishwasher cleaner.

Draining problem

There is a flapper in the drain hose just where the hose attaches to the pump assembly it has been know to get dislodged and cause a partial drain. With towels underneath hose remove drain hose and stick you finger in and see if it is free moving. The flap should move in the direction of the water leaving the unit. Also check you connection at disposer and make sure not obstructed.

The water does not completely empty out after cycle is done and the button that says cancel/drain does not empty it out either. this is a kenmore ultra wash about 6 or 7 years old.

Have you cleaned the drain filter ? If yes, then you may have an obstruction in the pump, the hoses to and from that pump or trhe drain hose exiting the dishwasher. Another consideration is the drain system of your house.. are you certain it is not restricting water flow? These are the basic areas of concern and each one ( if bad) can limit the dishwasher from fully draining. Hope this helps..

I think you are right. That would be the most obvious answer. Some motors are warrantied for 2 years or longer.
