The parrot does not display the good bye message when i turn the ingition off the man at halfords said he does not know why but the book says it must display that does any one know why?

It will require a power cycle, you will need to unplug the Parrot kit and wait a few minutes, then try again. If you have a remote for your kit then you must have a MKi kit which can be updated via the USB port, details are all on the Parrot support web site. I solve this by doing this : 1. pair phone 2. reset Parrot (press both green and red for 2-3 secs) 3. wait... (up tu 5 minutes) good luck !

sounds like it needs a software update.

Good bye appear when the car kit switch off. Then suppose to be in relation with the question of the 12 ignition. If it doesn't disconnect of switch off in relation with the car, maybe the kit has a 12 DC and not an ignition connected.

If you can disconnect the power supply of the kit, just do it, and it should normally coming back to the main screen.

sometime, it my be in relation with the install.
Just a simple question, did you install it by yourself? if yes, did you connect the mute cable of the kit? cause if you disconnect it and try to make working the kit and see if the mute is working may be the explanation. signal treatment.

(except trouble of the kit), after a while plugging on a 12v dc only can be the explanation. Do you have the message "good bye" on the display when you switch off the ignition key? If not, that could also be due to the fuses inverted to the vehicle between the 12 dc and the 12 ignition. Then you just have to inverse fuses.

you need to go into settings, paired devices & delete any old phones from the parrot memory, it will only hold 5 phones.

you willhave to send the contact manually to the parrot you can try making all but if this dont work you will have to send them one by one.

go into phone book, select mark all then send as a business card to parrot.

Call Safewireless.com, they helped with my problem even though I didn't buy my Parrot from them.
