I have a Powerware 5125 that I just replaced the batteries on. Now I get NO power to the unit when trying to turn the unit on. I put the original batteries back in and the same thing is happening. All the cables were put on the new batteries in the correct order.

I urge you to contact Eaton: Toll Free: 1 800 356 5737
E-mail: [email protected] They bought Powerware about 6 years ago and have a full team of service personnel familiar with the 5125.

We had a power outage for about 45 minutes a few days ago. Ever since then the Powerware 3110 has been beeping. I turned it off and left it plugged in overnight and when I turned it back on the beeping...

This could be several things, fortunately the device should actually be helping you to diagnose the issue. There are different beeps for different issues. They are as follows:

1 Beep Every 5 Seconds = Power Outage\Loose Plug Connection\Tripped Circuit Breaker\Power Cord Damage or Failure

2 Beeps Every 5 Seconds = Low Battery Alarm

3 Beeps Every 5 Seconds = Battery Needs Charging\Service\Replacement

3 Beeps Every 5 Minutes = The Battery is discharged and battery power is unavailable (If this continues battery replacement may be necessary)

1 Beep Ever 1/2 Second = Power Requirements exceed the UPS Capacity (remove some equipment to lighten the load on the unit)

Continuous Beep = Short Circuit / Input Voltage out of Range / UPS Fault (Likely replacement of entire unit)

That should help diagnose the actual issue. If it turns out the battery needs to be replaced they can be found online for around $20. A simple google search for Powerware 3110 Battery should return what you're after. Good luck!

We changed out the batteries on several of our Powerware pw5125 UPS' and the indicator light stays at 25%. Thus far we have changed out six and only one has read 100% charged after the replacement. We were...

The LEDs are actually indicating the amount of load on the UPS and only indicate battery charge level when running on battery power. You can email [email protected] if you'd like to follow up.

Need to locate someone to install batteries into our UPS Powerware 2000. Location, Tempe, AZ (Phoenix, AZ)

Try contacting Eaton. They bought Powerware about 6 years ago and the personnel are trained on older Powerware systems. If you have the part number and serial number from the rating label on the UPS, that would be helpful.

Bad zener Powerware 5125-1500

There may be a reason. Too much current draw.
I would recommend to get a better brand UPS.

Batery faillure

Advanced Battery Management Technology Prevents Premature Failure and Significantly Extends Battery Service Life
Batteries are the most critical component in the reliability of any UPS, but they face three fundamental challenges: All Batteries Need Charging
But extended charging significantly shortens battery life. Most batteries are charged with a trickle-charging process (a constant voltage feeding a low current to the battery). This method dries the electrolyte and corrodes the plates, reducing potential life by up to 50%.
Batteries Take Time To Recharge
Users can’t wait. During prolonged power outages, the UPS batteries will discharge and not recharge until the power returns. When there is a subsequent power failure before the batteries recharge, the computer will not have full backup time. Overly rapid charging can cause premature battery failure, so the trick is to charge at the fastest rate that is safe for the battery.

All Batteries Will Eventually Fail
The question isn’t “Will it happen?” but “When will it happen?” Because UPS batteries are valve-regulated, sealed lead acid, there has previously been no practical way to provide the user with any meaningful advance notice that batteries need to be replaced. In the past, the only way to know when the batteries were dead was when the power failed and took your computer down with it. Until now, typical UPS batteries have required replacement every two to three years.
Our exclusive ABM technology solves these UPS battery problems. It significantly increases the life of UPS batteries (see Figure 1), provides the fastest safe recharge time, and provides reliable advanced notice when the batteries need replacement. By extending battery life and virtually eliminating this major cause of surprise load crashes, we are able to offer the industry’s longest and most inclusive warranties on all products that incorporate ABM. No other manufacturer can make this statement.
ABM technology is available on Powerware 5115, 5125, 9120, 9125, 9140, 9155, 9170+, 9355, and BladeUPS UPSs.
