Ur tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv covergence board must have it 2 STK Convergence ICS and some or all resistors be rreplaced to solved the convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Try website like Tv repair World.com to buy a whole convergence board to replaced.Samsung/Akai use the same convergence board.

i can help with that have you looked on the back of the tv at all the jacks you have look at the color of the jacks some are red and white those are for audio and the yellow is video you need a pair of cables that will conect from you dvd to your samsung that same color on both ends their RCA cables or analog cables

You will need to replace the convergence IC

The main board is more than likely the cause of the trouble. Time for a new TV.

Pull out the plug for the TV and leave it out for one hour at least.  Plug it back in and it should be ok.  It will re set itself.

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. Well there are many causes for this. In the back of your tv there are three different color projectors. One red, one green, one blue. One or more of them seems to be out of alignment. They can be adjusted but it is recommended to be done by a professional as there are transformers in the back near that area that create the high voltage current needed to run the color guns.
