Kitchenaid dishwasher model kudm24se the upper and lower baskets have rusty areas. Would like to replace with new baskets or a method of correcting or fixing the rust spots

These come as several parts. Not sure if all are available anymore as Candy parts. But you can get replacement Hoover parts to fit.

Can you find a new basket or just the wheels. I would try Google or ebay or this site sell spares I think

the paint dose not work well, If the wire is not in a super critical place, I sometimes cut them out and cap them with a rubber coated dishwasher repair kit that I purchase at my local appliance repair shop. you cant find a pic showing exactly where the parts go but its really not that hard to figure out things only go in there one way

1)rinse not happening properly.
problem in filter(solenoid).
2)check the boiler tank any blockage.

Remove lower basket completly put a bag around the arm that goes to the back of the machine (this will stop water going to the lower arm. Put the lower basket back into the machine and set the rinse cycle, this should clear the blockage if it does not your in trouble!

Still kinda pricey if you only have a few bad spots.

There is special touchup coating (never tried it myself, but looks like it gets good reviews, and the price is right)

What is the model of this KitchenAid diswasher and approximatly how old is it? On some newer, energy saving models water is alternated from lower to upper spray arms. But ...
Remove filter that is in the sump area beneath the lower dish rack. Screws will need to be removed to open the area up. Look for blockages and clean filter.
Reassemble and test. If problems remain, it is probably a failing pump motor and will require a service call.
