To get your maps back you would have to go to there site or other sites that have this. Problem is hard to find free download that is any good. Here is one that you can review and read and possibly down load map.
Another thing, what I would do as well, if this can not help you, is go to the manufacture site, and call there contact number or e-mail and say, hey whats up, i need to get maps back on. However good news is, that you would down load the maps, from Navman and save on desk top, then have to transfer upload to your gps with usb port. Otherwise that is pretty much all you can do. Another Idea what I have done is, if possible for you, is that swing into Places like >>> Car Toys, or Best Buy, and sometimes those computer geeks will do it for you for free, as long as you stroke there ego and get them a new pocket protector for helping you, :) Mike
This is for online purchase, please read the "Important Notice" on the page for your maps, it advises what you need to have with you to install and activate your new maps.
i found another program for restoring the system, i have never used the product your reffering to, and i cant guarentee that this will work, but its worth a shot, and im sorry you have gotten bad advice, i found out that you may need to use this program to re install the unlock key. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync-download.mspx i hope this helps! im sorry i cant assist more... Good luck and god bless
You should be able to install your old map from the DVD/CD that originally came with your Navman - you don't need a Product Key for this, even if it prompts you for one.
It appears that the commercially available 2009 map for the S-Series does *not* cover the S30 3D, just the non-3D versions, although that's not at all obvious from what's on Navman's web-site, so you have my sympathies if you bought it expecting it to work...
I just had same problem while trying to load 2008 maps onto N40i . This I unfortunately discovered once I had already removed the existing maps as instructed part of install.
SmartST2006 isn't so smart! It kept saying I wasn't connected to internet when it was registering my product key' despite it most definitely being connected and I had temporarily disabled my AVG firewall just in case it was blocking.
I found an alternative way of registering the maps on the Navman website where it is required to enter the Navman serial number and the maps product key in order to get a code but that didn't work for me either, it didn't recognise my Navman serial despite having been fully registered when new.
My final (desperate) solution worked - find a computer with Win XP install SmartST2006 and hey presto! It took quite a while to load the maps though.
Proof to me that SmartST2006 is not compatible with Vista, if only they had put a slip in the maps box warning of this possibility.
The 'latest' pan Europe maps which are labeled 0408 actually appear to be 1106
