Epsom TX550W Doesn't recognise replacement cartridges

Check the contacts on the cartridge and in the printer. They should be clean and shiny. The contacts in the printer should not be bent. When you replace the cartridge, please press on the side of the contacts a bit firmer. The cartridge will click in place. If you used refilled cartridges, it could be the chip on the cartridge was not proper reset.

Check CSIC contactor and CSIC board. Contactor that connected to the ink tank chip when ink tank plugged.

Some printer cartridges have a built-in chip and the printer won't work with after market printer cartridges. This forces you to use genuine Epsom printer cartridges.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts.

Try putting the cartridge one by one and check the status on the status monitor under printing preferences-maintanace tab.Then you can easily identify which one has problem.If anything won't replace one brand new set of cartridges,else get the printer to the nearest service center.

The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies.

Unfortunately no there is not. However, when those are refilled the kill chips should be reset and the cartridge should function same as new. If you are not getting this result I would not buy ink from that supplier anymore. Cartridge World 100% guarantees their cartridges and will always reset the chips.

just remove the catridges and clean it and reinstall if still you facing problem replace the catridges.

that may be firmware problem. if cartridges was compatible one, printer may have newest firmware and not recognize old one

Try to hold down both 'stop' and 'B&W' button when you press the 'on' button to start the printer machine. This should erase the error message and let you print.
