I brought my watch in for repair at a Kay Jewelers, they ship out repairs, and the self winder now says "PRAUE 22 Jewes" instead of "PRAGUE 22 Jewels"
It also says "Made in China" on the inside and looks different to me, I think they ripped off my watch inside! I need pictures to prove that the inside is different please! AND the watch doesn't work at all! this is after brining it in in November 2010! and we just picked it up yesterday and it's April!

Hello Alan
We are Fixya, we are not Timex or a watch repair shop. We don't do repairs, we only supply information, normally for self 'Fix-Ya-self'.
It is a good old automatic watch and worth repairing. You can take it to a local jeweler who will ship it out to their favoured watchmaker, or you can contact Timex direct. Details are in the link below.
there is a small retainer clip inside the watch and it takes jewelers tools and special knowledge to do the job
if you are not a jeweler or watch maker ( you need to ask the question) then trying to do it your self will result in damage to the watch that will make it more costly to repair than a new one
A lot of the watch companies will no longer ship material to the watchmaker any longer. They want to keep all reparis in house. This has become very inconvient for customers. Depending on the type of crystal that is in your watch it may be obtainable from a repair center. We do all sorts of repairs in house and service many brands of watches. mcdevito75 here, To get to the face of your watch is a job, you"d need a few jewelers tools and would have to be a bit handy with watches as there is a certain way to move your hands around the watches movement a wrong move of your hands in the watches movement can destroy it. First you"d have to remove the watches back cover, then you"d have to remove the stem (winder) and there"s a certain method to that with requires jewelers screwdrivers, then you"d have to lift the movement out of the case and if these chips loosed the hands you"d need another tool to re-seat them. BEST BET, Check with the repair service directory here at fixya, click on repair service directory bottom of this page, then click on watches, I am Mike D at RITE TIME BASICS and may be able to help or check with any fine watch repaire in the directory.
