I couldn't find any info on my new BOSCH EXXEL dishwasher the codes in the manual are all in
dH (german) while the
H:XX codes mean nothing unless you have this table I created here it is for you all so you don't have to worry, it has all the conversions between Clark, dH and mmol/l and mg/l if you find one that applies to you just look across the table and find your corresponding H code.
You will need to go to your suppliers own website to find one of the above numbers for the quality of water usually in mg/l they will give you this value and then you can select the H code for you area.
Water hardness is measured in either European °E (clarks) or in the German °dH( Deutsche Härte) you will find this on all Bosch Dishwashers if you water is Extremely hard then you will need to program your Bosch dishwasher using the Code H:06 to give you maximum protection, if your water like mine is Extremely soft then the
H:00 works well and also saves you loads of dishwasher salt.
HARDNESS CHECK TOOL
• Clark degrees (°Clark)/English degrees (°E) conversion to mg/L calcium: divide by 0.175 One degree Clark corresponds to one grain of calcium carbonate in one Imperial gallon of water which is equivalent to 14.28 parts calcium carbonate in 1,000,000 parts water.
•Deutsche Härte (German hardness) (°dH) conversion to mg/L calcium:divide by 0.14 One degree German corresponds to one part calcium oxide in 100,000 parts of water
