The most common reason for an amp to go into or remain in protect mode is shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a dub2502 amp with the red protection light on and will not go off. The amp is a 1100 watt peak amp @ 4 ohms and my sub is an Audiobahn 1100 watt peak, 4 ohm. wired perfectly. so how do I fix the...

The unit will need to be repaired by a technician. Most likely you have a bad transistor that is causing the protect mode to turn on. The only way to get the protect mode to turn off is to remove the bad part.

My subs/amp are not working

when you car is running, it charges the battery somewhat. So the voltage problem is not a problem. The red light means the amp is going into ''Protect Mode". This usually happens when something is wrong with the amp. Usually the amp is getting hot. Check all of you connectiong and check the final impedance of the subs. Make sure the amp can handle the impedance of the subs. If you need anymore help, message me.

I have a dub 4001 amp

Take it step wise.

Unplug the inputs and outputs from the amp (be sure to mark the wires so you can hook them back up), leaving only the ground, +12, and remote wire hooked up. Now, turn it on. If the amp light goes red, the amp is broken. If it goes green, turn if off, plug in the speakers, then turn it on. if it's red, its a speaker problem, if green, do the same with the inputs, and you'll have your answer.

Lanzar Vibe 1200D protection light

You will need to show it to a service technician as it seems the output section has blown so it remains in protect mode. One reason (could be) that the input to the amp was high and may have been clipping for some time before the amp decided it could take it no more

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
