I was uninstalling unnecessary programs in my sony vaio VGN-NW series and accidentally uninstalled broadcom wireless device. what can i do?

Go to Device Manager
Uninstall the current driver
Go to system and Security -->Action Center of windows
Troubleshooting
Hardware and sound
Hardware and devices
It will fix automatically

Did you install the driver from esupport.sony.com ?
Try uninstalling the driver from device manager in control panel and restart. Try again
Otherwise system restore from the start menu - accessories...

I had the same problem with my VAIO E series motion eye webcam . I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers from device manager, but didnt do any good.Sometimes the device didnt even show up. So finally I uninstalled the driver and installed the win xp driver from the sony vaio support page even though I had Win 7. Now under Imaging devices in Device manager it shows 'Sony Visual Communication camera' but it works perfectly fine.

Dont uninstall the webcam companion just yet.Might be hard to get it back.

Try doing this and see if it works with webcam companion. or else you can try other free webcam softwares like ManyCam.

If you are trying to uninstall few pre-installed Software in the Computer (like trial version Software), you can use the VAIO Applications Uninstaller Software. This Software can be downloaded from the your Computer model home page.

the camera software that sony vaio vgn-ns190j/s uses is arcsoft webcam companion software..

1.uninstall the arcsoft webcam companion camera software from programs and feature
2.uninstall the camera driver from device manager
3.download and install the camera software from

Uninstall unnecessary softwares from add/remove programs. Did you noticed that cpu fan is working? If not then clean the cpu exhaust system with blower and also check the cpu fan function in BIOS. When using laptop always use flat surface to place it, mattress or sofa create problem with cooling and exhaust system of the cpu fan.

You can uninstall the Vaio VSC Vaio survey program from the control panel>programs & features list. If you want to keep the survey program sony put on your system, but don't want it to run, remove it from the startup list.

go to system restore it might have restore point from earlier date before you accidentally uninstall the program.

click START>>>>>All programs>>>Accesories>>>>>System Tools>>>>System Restore
