I have a Toro Zmaster mower The engine is a FH580V KAI19. It was running fine. Parked the mower last night, tried to start it today and oil is coming out of the OHV cover and blowing by through the muffler. the engine runs for about thirty seconds blowing white smoke and oil out of the muffler. No oil was leaking in the trailer until I tried to start it.

You could have a broken piston ring. check the oil level. if it is ok or low and still smokes or hard to start then you may have to overhaul the engine. let me know what you find.

Where is the oil drain on a toro zmaster

It should be on the right side of engine when standing behind unit facing front. You should see the oil filter and just below that you'll see a pipe with a plastic end. Turn whichever way it will turn and pull out. it doesn't come off so don't pull or turn hard.

What is causing my kawsaki 580v to smoke

you check the oil with the dipstick resting on the tube, not screwed in
then check your fuel supply as it might have water in it
then remove valve covers and see if you have a valve guide seal that has moved

I put too much oil in the mower over the past couple months. Two days ago the mower began steaming. I shut it down immediately. Today I did an oil change and cleaned the mower up but after I started it,...

If you already changed oil and it is at proper level on dip stick let it run for about 5 minutes to burn out any excess oil in cylinder, if it continues to smoke you probably blew a gasket or seal on engine. If that is the case you are looking at buying a new mower unless if it under warranty or you have a cheap mechanic.

My mower started spewing oil and smoking last night. what could be wrong?

Hi,
That would be a broken compression ring that goes around the piston and keeps the oil in the crankcase...
That will mean a major engine overhall for you...

The lawn mower is burning oil and engine is missing.

Sounds like you may have broke the ring around the piston. I wouldn't run it again until you get it fixed. You could cause serious damage, if you haven't already. GOOD LUCK!
