I Cant turn on my Sony Ericsoon W995 i put it in the charger and it coming a red light i dont know what to do

go to sony site,pick your mobile phone,for update,download update service in your computer,and follow the instructions.you need to have the usb cable.your phone will be good as new.

well to be 110% sure you would need a voltmeter try plugging the phone in to the charger and power it on then take it off the charger and try turning it on

the battery might be faulty. try taking it out then put it back in. charge it, if that doesn't work, get a new battery.

That only means that you got battery problem of your phone. Replace the phone battery with a new one. If your old sony ericson phone battery can be fit to your w995 then you can try to use it.

Very simple.Just follow this steps:
1. Connect the charger.
2. While the charger connected, open the back cover and close the cover again. Your phone can be switched on now. This is because this phone got sensor that ensure the back cover always closed while the phone operate.
3. If the above steps not working, try remove the battery while the phone is connected with charger.

Since the port of your phone works as the charging port and headphone port, it means the charging i.c. is bad. Invariably, you have to change the charging i.c. of the phone by taking it to a technician since you cannot do it yourself.
Alternatively i will advice you to buy a universal/desktop charge for you battery and suspend the use of your headphone till you fix the port.

Your phone needs reflashing. It seems that your phone's GDFS is dead. If you still have a warranty for your phone than take it to the Service Centre and they will do it for free. If you don't have a warranty than it will be a little expensive.
However you can flash your phone by yourself FOR FREE using SeTool2.

I had the same problem. Solved it by downloading the latest firmware from SE and then installed it on to the phone.
