Someone has tried to unlock my samsung galaxy s with the pattern but failed several times now its asking for my ggoglemail details to unblock ive entered it or what i thought was it but failed and i only have 5 lives left i really dont want to reset factory settings please help

This may depending on your Android version; I'd suggest trying the following ...

OPTION 1
If you fail to unlock with pattern 5 times, you may be prompted for a backup PIN (hopefully you know that) or a "Forgot Pattern" button will appear. The forgot pattern button will ask for your google email & password; follow the prompts to gain access to your phone & create a new pattern.

OPTION 2

OPTION 3
Failing the above, you may have to do a factory reset. You'll lose any data/apps/accounts on your phone, but at least you can use it again. This method is detailed in method 2 here: How to Reset Your Android Phone

PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile. The PUK code for mobile phone.so that you can open your phone. When you planning to call your service provider you cannot use your mobile as it is fully locked. Please use some other mobile with same network to call your service provider.
While you get the PUK code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the PUK code
DONOT enter the PUK code several times wrongly,It will block your sim card permanently.
This PUK code is FREE. You no need to pay any sum to get the PUK code

if you forgot your pattern lock, just give few more tries to continue wrong efforts. at an instant, the OS will report 'attempts exceeded, enter with your gmail'. at this point just enter your email address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL'. this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!

my galexy S7500 ace plus was locked i used more then 5 times locke open and this should be asked email id and password
