You can follow the guide to zoom videos in VLC media player.

Go to Tools > Preferences [CTRL + P].
Under Show settings (bottom-left), choose All.
Navigate to Video in Advanced Preferences.
Scroll down (on the right side) to the Zoom video option.
Set the zoom factor like 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2 and 5.
Click Save.

BTW, if the zoom feature is not workable in VLC, you can check this article for alternatives.

In a common way, Interactive Zoom will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the media screen of VLC Media Player once it has been activated. It will be seen in the form of a small window that can enlarge the video content while moving your mouse to the part you would like to zoom in with VLC. You can check the link to see how to zoom in.

Under Adjustments and Effects window go to the Geometry tab, enable Magnification/Zoom option, to let it zoom in/out the video. You will see a small window at top left corner with main magnification control. Fill in the triangle by clicking it to zoom into the video. To view the desired video portion, move the square capturing screen across the box.

My only files after recording a 90 minute concert were mpegtemp.000 and mpegtep.009. The first file is empty and the second is 29G. How can I open it on my Mac?

It sounds like the file you are trying to open is a large MPEG video file. You can try using a video player such as VLC to open the file. VLC is a free, open-source video player that can play a wide variety of video formats, including MPEG. You can download VLC for Mac from the VideoLAN website: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.en-GB.html
You can also try using a video editing software such as iMovie (comes pre-installed on mac) or Adobe Premiere Pro, they should be able to open and edit the file.
It's also worth mentioning that the file extension .009 is not a common video format, it might be a temporary file that was created during the recording process and you may need the other parts of the files to be able to open it.

Film is on the reel the wrong way round

Was it shot with the (I presume cine) camera upside down ? All I can suggest is that you get it transferred to DVD, copy it to computer, then use VLC (free) to edit it and invert it.

Have got a fujioptics 16mb video camera but windows asks for codec and when I try it on corel video studio says file formats not supported

Just install VLC or something. Or use an OS that comes with FFMPEG. It\'s pretty certain that they\'ve both reverse engineered whatever is causing you issues and equally likely that their version works better..

It\'s only going to be H264 anyway. Even iTunes could probably play that. Do Corel really still exist by the way? LOL.

Can't upload video taken with casio exilim camera

Mac users and windows users alike can use a program called vlc media player. It works great on both. On a Mac you can drag and drop the movie into vlc. Go to videolan.org./vlc to download your operating system version.

Playback movies on PC

Get on the internet and download the VLC player. Just do a google search for it and it is free. Works great on MAC as well as PC for movie issues.
