While steaming veggies on the stove the microwave shut off and will not work. This has happened in the past but it reset itself. This time it will not. Microwave is mounted over the stove.

The vent fan is thermostat controlled to protect the control panel. Once the panel temp drops, this will turn off by itself. This is normal for this to occur when your steaming and cooking for a long time. Good Luck
I found an instruction booklet. For most veggies (1/2 lb) steam for 10 minutes using 3/4 cup water. Add 5 minutes steaming time for frozen. 1 whole cauliflower is 15 minutes & 1 cup water
I always recommend
that you use the vent fan whenever you're cooking on the stove
top to keep heat, steam, and
grease out of the controls and door panels.
If it does not dry out
over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.
The keypad may be
damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.
Keypad failure can cause it to come on by itself, which can lead to a fire.

First of all, be sure the microwave's hood vent exhaust fan is on whenever you cook on the stove top! That's essential to protecting the controls of the microwave.
If this still happens even though you use the fan, then your keypad or controller is likely failing, and we can help you with our $39.95 nationwide repair service.
Please reply back and let us know how it goes.
