I've notice I have not been able to send MMS picture messages ... I've downloaded Handcent SMS and now I can at least send/receive MMS. New Samsung Galaxy s5 unable to send or receive text ...

Check with your provider to see id you have sms and mms text messaging enabled.

Dear friend,
Simple text msg can only send emoticons.
But multimedia msg (MMS) can send all types of multimedia.
For sending MMS you will need to install gprs settings whichyou can receive from your service provider with better guidance.
Or reply me with your mobile model and your servuce provider.

Hi, problems with mms message, mms settings are usually from your network provider
not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding the text messages,
the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number,

If you can't receive or send mms messages even when it's inserted on another handset,
then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell
them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

You can check the message center number, but I don't think
it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try,
just check the text message settings and verify that the message
center number (which is currently in use)or you can confirm by contacting your service provider service and they will assist you by sending you the settings for you mms message
and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings..
(I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with
me, please excuse me for this.).

If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset,
don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it,
first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

just check three settings in text msg settings
1. msg center number
2.reply via same center option should be no
3. msg type should be text

hi, this is a very common problem that everyone has when they change to a different network.
What you need to do is goto the o2 website and on their site you should be able to find the page that lets you send the media and internet settings to your phone you will reciev these via text message so just follow the instructions on the text this will then update your phone to the correct settings.

If you go to the o2 site then in the top right hand corner type in internet, then look for them it will then give you all the info you need this should then let you send the messages to your phone.

Failing this giving them a call and telling them what you need they will then send you the correct settings via text message also.

They dont charge for doing this and it only takes a couple of minutes for your phone to update to the new settings, after doing this you will be able to access the internet and also send mms messages.

Make sure you choose the right settings as they are different dependind on weather you are payngo or on contract but this wont be a problem.

I had the same problem but I have nextel. I called them and they just told me to send all text messages as 'MEDIA MESSAGES' and it works!

The settings are all different, Internet, Wap etc... for MMS you need to call your service provider and ask them to send you the MMS settings, they are sent via a txt msg, when you receive them click Save or Install.
MMS doesn't work between all networks.

chk msg centre number,sent msg as text shud b there,msg validity shud be maximum,and reply via same centre shud be no in settings..chk these settings in ur message settings..
