You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

To set speed dial numbers, with the handset down press the SPDL key(the key should flash)
enter in the 1 digit memory location code (1-9)
enter in the telephone number (up to 32 digits)
then lift and replace the handset. You should hear a confirmation tone and the SPDL key will stop flashing
To use pick up the handset, access a line and press SPDL and the location code (1-9)
You definitely can do this with a ECX feature set if you program the lines on the keys. You've got to program "Button Hopping" off in the system this automatically puts the first call on system hold when you press the line key for the second incoming call.
I don't think there's a limit to how many you can have on hold.
