Every time i switch camera on, it flashes and the word focus error is on the screen. can anyone help please ?

ha right now i have the same problem and like everyone else i havent dropped it or damaged it.
Fuji being awesome as they are wont cover this in warranty and its about $230 + to get it fixed and reportedly comes back with more errors than before

so how about you try what i'm about to do and smash it with a hammer, in future try canon or something else.

I am now a photographer without a camera for two months my camera is barely a yr old.

If bought this at best buy and are still under your MFG warranty they can send it out to repair, or if you have their service plan, nothing you can do, this needs to be sent to a repair facility...

This is just a suggestion, as I am not an expert.A couple of years ago I had a problem with my older, Fuji Finepix camera related to the computer downloads/programming and I found Fujifinepix web site. I sent them an email and they responded and did not charge anything. Could try that..

well don't play with ur lens on ur own give it to the ppl they will repair ur lens and give them a phtocopy of ur warranty card.
But yes if the problem persists thats is the test they do after repair they might cahe ur camera .....But there are slime chances for an exchange
