Do not hold the power button down while pressing the "0" key - it'll shut the computer off again. You just need to push it once to turn the power on and then hold the "0" key immediately after you push the power button on - just like turning on the laptop, but this time you're holding the "0" key down.

First restart your Toshiba laptop. Press either "F1," "0," or "F8" to be taken to your computer's hard drive utility screen. The key command differs depending on the model Toshiba computer that you own.

Select "Restore Original Factory Image" from the list of options in System Recovery. Verify that you want to continue the process by clicking "Yes," then click "Next".

Restart the Toshiba laptop once the factory restore process has been completed. You will be prompted to enter information such as the date, time and language preferences.

Feel free get the reliable technical help at http://www.vtechsquad.com/toshiba-support/ for troubleshoot all kind of Toshiba PC(laptop and desktop).

hi, If the first suggestion didn't work try these steps,

    1. Copy all your files and documents to an external storage device.
    2. Shut down the computer.
    3. Turn the PC back on and hit the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Option Screen appears.
    4. Click "Repair Your Computer" if you are not already on it and then press ENTER
    5. choose your country and click OK
    6. On the "System Recovery Options Screen" click "Restore Application" which is the last option.
    7. Follow the on-screen instructions
    8. When prompted, click on "Full Factory Recovery"
    9. "Next"
    10. Click "Yes"
    11. you will notice for a while it seems like nothing is happening, give it some time.
    12. After some minutes, recovery will complete and you click "Finish"

let me know if it helps you or not.
    Thank you

My computer doesnt show the factory reset

The only factory reset on a computer is in the BIOS, which you select after it shows the manufacturers logo or name. It will usually display the key to press and say SETUP. On Dell is F2, some are the Delete key.

Windows 8 will also do a factory reset which will pretty much do a clean install like when it was first installed.

If you do a reset on the BIOS and your Windows does not come up and possible blue screens with a STOP error, go back into the BIOS and on the drive type, switch it from AHCI to ATA. It should then boot fine.

why you not try to select last known good configuration. it will fix your blue screen error. it is may be a registry error or driver configuration error, but if you can fix disk errors with chkdsk command after select safe mode with command line.

Doesn't turn on at all!

Need some additional information first: -Which, if any LEDs are lighting up when you try to start. -You said you purchased another A/C adaptor, was there a reason you tried that first? -Have you been having any problems with the battery before this happened? -Have you tried removing the battery and tried starting with just the A/C adaptor plugged in? If yes was there any change?
