2005 dodge stratus sedan with power windows- 3 of the windows are not working and will not respond to the switch. One of the 3 actually slides down on its own. I can do the repairs myself if I had a manual or some step by step guide. I tried to repair the passenger front and now the door interior is loose and makes noise while I'm driving. Anyone have a diagram or instruction guide for working on power windows?

Your problems might not be the swich look at the wires coming out of the door (where the henges are) look for broken wires this happens because of opening and closing the door also check swich for power might do wiggle test by pulling on wire at the door.. I don't have diagrams I know this because I fixed many with the same problem. .

SOURCE: MAF Sensor 2004 Dodge Stratus

If your car has a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, it would be located in the air delivery tube that runs from the air filter box to the throttle plate assembly on the intake manifold. It will have a wiring connector going to it, also. The MAF does exactly what it is called: It "senses" the volume, or "mass" of the air-flow; thusly it needs to be in the intake air tube. If you do NOT have such a device in the air-tube, you have a MAP sensor, (Manifold Absolute Pressure); this is another way of measuring the same air volume, albeit older technology. You will commonly find this device on the firewall, with a vacuum line running to the intake manifold.

I hope that this sheds some light on your question.

SOURCE: Passenger Window Stuck all the way Down

Try switching the power window switch from the passenger side to the drivers side. Before you do that try with the switch on the up position, wiggle it from side to side. The contacts may be worn and by wiggling it may make contact. Other then that try to park it in side or garbage bag taped to keep rain out till you get it to the shop.
Hint, take it to a Auto window repair shop to replace the switch if it's bad or if the motor is bad. They have more experience to removing the door panels and removing the power window regulator (motor) if that needs to be replaced.
Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: alternator belt

Under the hood, on the radiator support or on the underside of the hood you'll find a black label with a white belt routing diagram. In order to replace the belt you must back off the tensioning pulley using a ratchet handle with a 3/8" drive spindle. The pulley often has a square slot into which the ratchet handle will fit. If your tensioner does not have this then it will be necessary to provide the correct size socket to fit the center hold-down bolt on the tensioner. The tensioner will only move easily in ONE direction with the tool. Just back the tensioner off enough until you are able to remove the belt from one of the upper pulleys(usually the alternator). Take extra care when relieving the tensioner after removing the belt. The spring is very strong. Before installing the new belt, make sure and turn by hand ALL of the pulleys to check for a seized bearing or a worn bearing. This is generally why the belt came off to begin with. All pulleys should turn smoothely and quietly. Thank you, Dana

Look for fuses or switch for power windows...if all of them don't work it's a common source...power windows tend to be problematic as they age.

I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus and the Deck light won't turn off even though the trunk closes securely. I have unplugged wiring units on trunk, to see if unplugging them would give me a place to star

Hi Dj, The deck light (Interior courtesy light) receives power constantly and is grounded through switch. Look for a short circuit in the ground wires. Regards John

Locating an egr vavle on a 2005 dodge stratus

In my 2001 Dodge Stratus ES sedan (2.7L V6), the EGR has shiny piping that runs into the side of the black plastic intake manifold on top of the engine. The other end runs down beside the engine heads and routes into the rear exhaust manifold.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

2003 dodge stratus sedan right power window won't go down

I'm assuming that when you try to control the right side passenger window the lights dim a little. If this is the case, the motor for the window is more than likely faulty and needs to be replaced. This is not an easy or inexpensive fix. You should have a certified Dodge mechanic diagnose the problem just in case there isn't something obstructing the movement of the window. If it needs replacemnt, the replacemnt motor new is more than likely over $200 plus labor. You may want to live with it depending upon you financial situation.
Sorry it's not good news.
