How to set page length in computer for dot matrix printer model wep 800DX

I used to have a dot matrix printer which was a serial printer - it didn't work properly through the parallel printer port and had to be connected to the computer serial port.
Just to complicate matters further it had to be set up as an entirely different model but once done it worked very well.

The printer wasn't intended for domestic use but was widely used by large offices.

This is the answer I found on the website for this printer. I do not have any knowledge of this printer other than to look for information on the Internet.
How to do the custom page setting with Windows XP
Follow below steps for custom size of page in WinXP. 1. Go to Start - setting - Printers and Faxes 2. Select the printer for which you need to set the page 3. Click on File - Select Server properties - 4. Select "Create New Form" , and name the form. 5. Change the Height and Width of the forms as per available paper size. 6. Press Apply and save the form. 7. Now you can able to see the form name in the driver setting.

just change the page length setting in printer .just press pause button and switch on the printer and change the setting accordig to the page size it is bettreif you take online help from epson service call center they will guide you how to set the page length.

Prints from DOS programs do not have a "page length" setting of their own, nor do dot matrix printer have a page length of their own.

Page feed is achieved by sending a special control code (^L), and the meaning of ^L can be set through specific escape codes that the DOS program has to know.

My guess is that you need to tell the DOS program the page size in lines or inches, and maybe instruct it to send a page feed command after each page.

You can try directly programming the printer, but if the DOS program is sending out the wrong codes, this is not going to help. Anyway, here goes. Good luck!

Did you check the lines per page setting on the printer? For normal 11" length forms, the setting should be 66lpp.
