I replaced a 1.6GHz processor with a 2.4 GHz processor & whenever i boot the PC it desplays the message "processor not installed please upgrade your system bios", it then goes on to boot normally but...

Go to www.asus.com.tw and search for the newest BIOS upgrade for you motherboard. Full instructions will be available on the website.

It sounds as if your motherboard will support the CPU however the BIOS software you are running doenst know if the newer CPU. A BIOS flash upgrade should solve the problem.

I have an Intel D845HV motherboard running with a

In short, yes you can upgrade to a P4 cpu but from the compatibility chart at Intel support, it looks like the upper limit for this older board is the P4 2.6GHz.

Note: Even at that, running the P4 2.6 would require a BIOS upgrade to P12 or greater.

Luckily, the following link has the information you seek: (for BIOS info, click the "BIOS Version" link in the upper right corner of the compatibility table provided)

From where i get 845 gvsr bios

From the Intel website. Click here to visit the page.

Remember to follow the upgrade instructions exactly. Intel does not recommend to upgrade the BIOS if the old one is working fine.

How can i remove my note book biose.

Any computer system cannot work without a BIOS, so why would you like to remove it?
If you want to update it you need a utility you probably can find on the Sony dedicated website.
If you want to replace the BIOS chip by yourself it should be easy to find on the motherboard but doing so will definitely void the warranty.
I hope to have been helpful, but please provide better explanation of your needs.

Can i upgrade the bios

If you upgrade it and everything goes ok the warranty should be ok.
Some people have problems upgrading bios files and render the motherboard unusable. If that happens you may have a problem with warranty. But only if you tell them you did it.
