Liftmaster 373lm doesn't work on occasion. Lost book so don't know what the other two buttons are for. Sometimes takes 4-5 pushes to work. Changed battery thinking that was it--it wasn't. I think it is supposed to be a 5 year battery. New house only 6 months old so battery not the problem

SOURCE: My Liftmaster 373LM remote and wireless 377LM Keypad not working

You should have a small wire hanging down from the back of the opener. This is the remote control antenna wire. Strip off about and inch splice a wire to it. The connections is just twisting the wires together. Run the extended wire up to the ceiling and down the wall where the door is located. Most of the time in the top corners where the weather stripping is, there is a small gap. Slip the wire through the gap so the wire extends outside of the door. The key to this is getting the wire outside. 99% of the time this extension of the antenna will be enough to conquer interference issues. You are correct that you are running on 315mhz and the military will not affect it. Let me know if it helps

SOURCE: Liftmaster Professional and Clicker Programming Problems

The Security+ system is a rolling code system and is digital, so it will work with the Homelink in vehicles and with the remote control units that come with the opener. Also with new remotes that are purchased specifically for that opener. Your "clickers" require specific instructions and you need to use the Smart Learn function in order to use them with this opener. In addition, check the Brand Switch settings to be sure they apply to your opener, and the correct Smart Button color on the opener. Read carefully to determine whether you need to set ANY dip switches at all or can you just set them all to off depending on your opener? Check the instructions carefully. Here's a link to the page where you can download a copy of the Clicker instructions if you don't already have it:

If these problems started immediately after a lightning storm, the printed circuit board is probably damaged. Contact a garage door service company (check the phonebook) for diagnostic support.

I don't know what a "back lite controller" is but I think you are talking about a wireless keypad. If you are sure the battery in the keypad is good then it has just failed.

Yes, you need to press and hold the purple learn button on the back of your garage door opener and hit the button you want to program in order to reset the remote control.

My Lift Master remote does not work. The wall mounted unit will open and close the door, but the remote control does not. I've changed the battery with a 1a battery from Radio Shack- but it still won't...

Check the wall console. If it has a lock button and the LED is flashing, the GDO is locked. None of the remotes will work, only the wall button. If it is locked, press the lock button and hold for a couple seconds and release. The LED should stop flashing, and the remotes should start to work.
If the door will open but not close, and the lights flash 5 times, check the door sensors. Make sure the sensors are aligned with each other, and the LEDs are both on.

Goto homelink.com

They make the system and have very complete instructions you can download.

PLEASE NOTE: MOST but not ALL Brands / models of opener will work with this system.

Note: when you change the battery you need to reprogram the remote.

My wall mounted opener/closer has stopped working. It is hard wired to the opener, not remote. This unit also has buttons forLock and Light. Thank you J B Ward

REMOVE THE UNIT FROM THE WALL AND DISCONNECT THE WIRES.

GO TO THE BACK OF THE POWERHEAD AND CONNECT IT DIRECT WITH SHORT WIRES (POLARITY IS IMPORTANT HERE) TO TEST IF THE UNIT NOW WORKS. IF IT WORKS REPLACE THE EXISTING WIRES - THEY MAY BE SMASHED WITHIN THE WALL OR UNDER A STAPLE THAT IS TOO TIGHT.

IF THE ABOVE TEST DOES NOT WORK REPLACE THE WALL CONTROL UNIT.

HOPE THIS HELPS
