I bought a 52" plasma

What model TV is this? Is it a rear projection or LCD or Plasma?

If its projection its probably time for a new bulb. If its LCD or Plasma it can be power supply issues, backlight issues, etc. But without the model number i can't give any better info then that.

First do you see a light indicating that the TV has power? There are two power buttons on the TV (the main power and the regular power button). The red standby light will light up when the main power switch is on. This indicator is just to the left of the remote I/R sensor. You can find the main switch on the bottom front of the tv (it is under the tv forward of the stand). Turn on the Main power if it is not on. Then try the power button on the control panel of the TV again.

Does the standby light change color or blink? (Red is standby, orange is power savings (no signal), blue is on.) If the main switch is on and the standby light doesn't come on, the TV has a problem at the power supply. Try unplugging the unit for a bit (at least 30 seconds) and then plugging it back in. This will reset the internal circuitry. If you see a blinking light, then the TV is reporting a self-test failure. I do not know the codes for this model Hitachi Plasma TV.

I'm assuming you don't have one of the special versions that were intended for large audiences that were only controlled by remote (no control keys on the front of the TV). reset tv unplug one minute turn off main power plug in turn on main power try again, if not try different input and source ie dvd player or cable box

I bumped the antenna cable to my Hitachi plasma P50S602 model and where purchased partio.Mi warranty tells me not to cover it. Ask for a technician and the cost is like buying a new plasma and I can fix it?

Try hooking up the AV cables, unless it's an older model(1993-1998) then you might require a coaxial cable. After this you simply plug it into the wall outlet, but I would suggest a surge protector for a Hitachi. If that does not work, then it is simply not compatible, but it should work, good luck

I think you have problems with the digital main PWB.

If the power PWB failed, turn off and change the pilot ligth to red.

The signal from the STU to the Hitachi box is going in the wrong direction.
Is the adaptor that you have switchable? If so, flick the switch in the
other direction and this will fix it. If the adaptor is not switchable get
one that is. Then set the STU output to RGB.
